Looking for that perfect family holiday that ticks all the boxes? Delicious fresh food? Check. Lots of fun activities for the kids? Check. Gorgeous setting? Another check. Our Sunwing Family Resorts are designed to be perfect in every way for time together. But don’t just take my word for it, Daily Mail reporter Chris Greenwood was been singing its praises too…
A short walk away from the Arguineguin fishing village, and only a 30-minute transfer away from Gran Canaria airport, the hotel is situated on the more authentic end of the island. When visiting the local town, you’ll be sure to get a more traditional experience.
It’s more about who you’re with than where you are, but sea-view in every room gives you an amazing backdrop.
“This is a modern, neatly laid out and extremely well-run hotel where all staff clearly work hard to cater for guests of all ages.” – Chris Greenwood, Daily Mail
From a recent review, let’s talk you through exactly why Sunwing Arguineguin Seafront is perfect for families of all ages. Firstly, you have three pools to choose from, one baby pool, one kid’s pool, and one adult’s pool, all of which look out over the crystal-clear ocean. If the kids want to do something else, there are lots of activities such as face-painting and ‘get creative’ sessions at Lollo & Bernie’s Mini Land (3-7yrs). For the not-so-little ones, they can chill out in the Teen Lounge (8-15yrs), where they can watch movies and have a go on the Playstation.
Want to release some endorphins? The gym and tennis court are waiting for you. There are classes including yoga and water aerobics, as well as Fitness Together, which allow parents and children aged 11-15 to join in together in selected classes.
Outside All Inclusive, you can also enjoy bike hire, spa treatments, table tennis, and laundry service, among many other things, all of which are payable locally.
As wonderful as the hotel is, we know how important it is to get out and about exploring. We have lots of excursions available to pick from including Catamarans, a trip to Little Venice, and a Jeep safari. However, this summer, we’ve launched Love Local sustainable excursions. These give you an authentic experience with a local guide, will positively impact the local community, and celebrates the culture, sights, and tastes of the area. The Love Local excursion that you should check out when staying at Sunwing Aguineguin Seafront is Gran Canaria Premium.
This trip includes visiting the Museum of the Tomato, a local town, and then a Rum Factory (with time for some sampling). Then, you’ll stop for breath-taking mountain views, then to the Finger of God monument before stopping for some fresh local cuisine for lunch. Finally, you’ll drive through the Valley of Berrazales to the Finca La Laja and get familiar with the production of wine and coffee on the island, with some more sampling before heading back to the hotel.
There are two restaurants to choose from. The first of which is a buffet restaurant (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) where under-12s eat free and has a daily themed dinner. The other restaurant is Miguel’s Kitchen and Grill, where you can grab a pizza or something tasty from the grill. You can also visit the hotel’s Mini Market & Deli to grab some bits if you’re Self Catering or looking for snacks. Ice cream and cookies are also served at selected times throughout the day, so that’s sure to keep the kids happy too! Finish off each day with evening entertainment and a disco. These are a fantastic opportunity to get the kids involved, and finish at around 9:30pm, so you can all get a good night’s sleep ready to do it all over again.
