Holiday inspiration for 2018

I know, I know; it’s only just December, but surely this cold weather is making you start to dream of warmer places? Somewhere hot and sunny, with crystal-clear waters gently lapping on soft, golden sands. There’s no better time than now to start thinking about next year’s holiday. After all, you’ll need something to look forward to after the Christmas and New Year festivities are over. So what are you waiting for? Where’s top of your holiday bucket list? If you need a little help, here’s some holiday inspiration for 2018.

The second largest island in the Mediterranean, Sardinia is a picture of brightly-coloured architecture, exceptionally beautiful beaches and the most turquoise of seas. You’ll love it here if you’re looking for a real taste of peace and tranquillity on your traditional Italian holiday.

Experience the magical sights, smells and sounds of bustling Morocco. Immerse yourself in the heart of the country’s culture in colourful Marrakech and try your hand at haggling for a bargain in one of the many souks. Or for a more relaxing time, soak up the sun in the popular beach resort of Agadir.

St. Lucia

If you’re looking for somewhere to really get away from it all, then St. Lucia could be just the place for you. With its picture-perfect beaches and breathtaking backdrop of Les Pitons, you’ll feel like you’ve truly arrived in paradise. There’s plenty to explore around the island too, if you can drag yourself away from the sun lounger.

Easily one of the most beautiful countries I’ve ever visited, Croatia should be high up on everyone’s bucket list, if you’ve never been before. Visit the ancient city of Dubrovnik (and check out all the Game of Thrones filming locations, if you’re into that!), or island-hop around stunning Brac and luxurious Hvar.

A firm favourite for myself and many others; Turkey won’t fail to impress. It’s the ideal destination for an unforgettable family holiday, with incredible beaches, action-packed excursions and excellent hotels with all the facilities and amenities you could possibly need to make your holiday the best ever.

This is the perfect destination if you’d rather go away during the winter months, instead of at the height of summer. Temperatures hover around 25-30˚C all year, and while you’re there, you can relax on tropical beaches, delve into the colourful culture and indulge in the mouth-watering local cuisine.

The Canaries

You can’t go wrong with a holiday to the Canary Islands. Basking in year-round sunshine, there’s never a bad time to visit. Experience the buzz of Tenerife, the history of Gran Canaria, the volcanic landscapes of Lanzarote or the beautiful beaches of Fuerteventura.

Making its much-welcomed return; Tunisia is a great choice for a luxurious getaway in the sun, which won’t break the bank either. Think first-class hotels, gorgeous beaches and a wealth of history to explore on days out. And what’s more? It’s only three and a half hours away by plane.
