Holidays are often the biggest and most important purchase of your year, so you want to get it right. You might not necessarily want to book the cheapest holiday you can find, but you want to know you’re getting the best value for money. I’m sure you’ll agree, so I’ve put together a list of five of the best value holiday destinations where you’re bound to get more bang for your buck.
1) The Red Sea
When you book a holiday to Egypt, you get to experience 5-star luxury at 3-star prices. Hotels along the Red Sea Riviera, such as those in Hurghada, are like nothing you’ve ever seen before. And the experiences you can have, like scuba diving and exploring the country’s ancient history are up there as some of the best in the world. And what’s more? You’re guaranteed hot, sunny weather all year round.
You probably thought a long haul destination such as Bali would be unthinkable when it comes to great value holidays. Well, I don’t know how to put this, but you’re quite mistaken. You’ll be surprised at how affordable a holiday to Bali can be. Once you’re there, you’ll experience the ultimate in luxury; with boutique hotels, breathtaking beaches and a rich culture. All of this, yet you can still dine out for a couple of pounds.
Greece is a firm favourite when it comes to great value holidays. You might choose to stay at an All Inclusive resort on one of the stunning Greek islands, but the locations of hotels and resorts makes it easier for you to opt for a different board basis. Bed and Breakfast is a great choice, as you’ll never be far from traditional tavernas on idyllic waterfronts, serving delicious, fresh food at really reasonable prices.
Cuba is one of the most affordable places to visit in the Caribbean, so an exotic holiday to paradise certainly doesn’t have to be out of the question. You could be soaking up the warm Caribbean sun on a 14 night, All Inclusive holiday for under £1,000; an absolute bargain, if you ask me. Plus, All Inclusive holidays mean you can budget better, allowing more spending money for things like excursions and souvenirs.
A holiday to Turkey really does offer the whole package. The cost of Turkey holidays is always reasonable and then once you’re there, you’re blessed with stunning landscapes and perfect beaches. The service and facilities in Turkey hotels is second to none and all your activities and excursions are incredibly affordable when you’re out there too. What’s not to love?
