5 of the Best Family Holidays with Short Flights

Holiday planning’s a whole new ball game when you want to take your little adventurers away. Never before in my life have I paid such close attention to how long it will take me to get to my destination, and that can feel pretty daunting when all you want to do is find the perfect holiday. Don’t worry, though; I’ve done the research so you don’t have to.

My top tip? Well, if you’re like me and want to get your kids to the beach as quickly as possible this summer, it has to be Spain. Here’s my pick of the closest family-friendly resorts for you to consider this year (flight times are from Gatwick).

1) Benidorm, Costa Blanca

With just two hours in the air and a mere hour’s transfer, is it any wonder Benidorm’s grown into such a hotspot for family holidays?

2) Benalmadena, Costa del Sol

A fantastic choice if you want to play on 10 kilometres of sand. Your flight might be longer at two hours and 45 minutes, but the transfer only takes 50 minutes.

3) Es Cana, Ibiza

After only two hours 20 minutes in the air and an hour on the road, you can make yourself at home in one of Ibiza’s top family destinations.

And if you want to make your journey even shorter, fly from your local airport. Why not take a look at what flights are available near you now? You might be surprised where you can get to.
