Get your holiday off to the right start and treat yourself to some time in an airport lounge. You’ll escape the crowds in the departure hall as well as feel like a proper VIP. There’s a different airport lounge to suit every type of traveller and budget, so whether you’re a family of four or a couple looking for something extra special, there’s the perfect airport lounge for you.
With over 200 lounges at 120 airports worldwide, you’ll be spoilt for choice whether you’re flying internationally or locally. This year was the first time I’d booked up, and I wish I’d done it sooner. But, what are the benefits of choosing an airport lounge?
First of all, it’s not as expensive as I’d expected it to be. I’d never put a price on comfort, especially if I’m heading away with my boyfriend. With the kids, it does have to come into consideration, but with prices starting from £13.50pp, it was affordable even for us as a family.
Hands down, what benefited us as a family the most was the food. I love eating… I even don’t mind airline food, but my little ones have other things in mind. My four-year-old is the biggest food critic, and yet she was able to find something she liked – a buttery croissant with chocolate spread. And, the unlimited juices meant that they could drink as much they wanted. The food was even included in the price and was beautifully presented in a buffet with the option to upgrade to an à la carte, made-to-order menu.
Away from thinking about our bellies, there was plenty to keep us occupied before we took to the air. I read a magazine and caught up with the latest celeb gossip while the kids watched some TV. We spent the whole allotted three hours here, which meant we didn’t have to rush through security as we knew we had plenty of time to relax before our flight.
If this hasn’t convinced you to book an airport lounge, then you should know that there are 35 different lounges at 23 UK airports including:

Whether you’re coming home from exploring the world, going on a family adventure or taking a romantic break, you can escape the crowds and enjoy a quiet space in an airport lounge.
