Benidorm is famed for its eclectic nightlife and non-stop partying. There’s a reason so many holidaymakers make the journey to this popular Spanish resort year after year. There’s nothing they want more than to be able to lounge under the warm sun of the Costa Blanca by day and then dance the night away until the sun shows its face again.
Whether you like a civilised drink at a classy cocktail bar or an all singing, all dancing, colourful cabaret; Benidorm has a venue for you. Let me share with you the best places to find the top bars and clubs in Benidorm.
Bars and pubs
Benidorm certainly isn’t lacking in bars and pubs. In fact, you’d barely scratch the surface of what’s on offer in just one holiday. For those looking for cheap drinks and great entertainment, head to the Rincon and Levante areas of the city, where you will find the majority of the bars. You’ll find plenty of British themed bars and lots of enticing offers as each establishment competes for your custom.
Try: Daytona Rock, Secret Fountain Roof Bar Garden, Tiki Beach Bar Benidorm and Morgan’s Tavern (aka Neptune’s Bar from the TV show ‘Benidorm’).
Benidorm might not necessarily be the first place that comes to mind when you think of clubbing holidays. But in fact, it has a huge selection of amazing nightclubs playing host to some of the world’s top DJs and at just a fraction of the price of other big clubbing destinations. The majority of the best clubs are located along Avenida Communitat Valencia, which is just a short taxi ride from the centre.
Try: Penelope, KM Disco, Manssion, Hippodrome and Pacha Rock.
Cabarets and shows
A trip to Benidorm wouldn’t be complete without seeing at least one of the many extravagant and hilarious cabarets and live shows that take place once evening falls. There are plenty of family friendly events, many of which include karaoke and tribute bands. But for those of you travelling without kids, head to The Square in the centre of Playa Levante and prepare for a wild night. Perfect for hen and stag parties!
Try: Benidorm Palace, Champions Bar, Sinatra’s, Vincent’s Corner Pubs and Café Benidorm.
The old town of Benidorm has become incredibly popular with gay tourists and locals alike. There are now over 30 gay bars in the area, many of which are open to straight people too and are really worth checking out. You’ll find everything from chilled out and stylish drinking establishments to bars showing outlandish comedy drag acts. There’s also the Benidorm Pride festival each September.
Try: Bar Peppermint, Refuel Café Bar, Mercury, Company Bar and Caspers.
