Turkey is one of Europe’s prime destinations which see people from all over the world come to enjoy it’s sunny shores and amazing facilities. But which of Turkey’s resorts have the best beaches? Well I have come up with the country’s top 5 beaches. What do you think? Will you be visiting in the near future?
1) Icmeler Beach, Marmaris
Named on TripAdvisor’s Travellers choice awards 2015, Icmeler Beach in Marmaris came in at #5 on the list and for good reason. The miles of sandy beach gives way to the most enticing blue water you’ve ever seen, with sea temperatures in the Turkish resort reaching a warm 27°C in the summer months you could spend all day relaxing before you head back up to your hotel.
2) Altinkum, Çesme
An oasis of calm, Altinkum Beach near Cesme looks and feels like you’ve arrived in the Caribbean. The yellow sandy shoreline stretches for as far as the eye can see making you feel like you have enough space to lie down and not feel overcrowded. It’s a very calm beach with small waves and a gentle shelving sands makes it perfect if you want to take a romantic walk down the coast.
3) Iztuzu Beach, Dalyan
Voted as the best beach in all of Turkey, Iztuzu Beach in Dalyan is an amazing place to come and leave the day-2-day stresses behind. The pine-covered hills, soft golden sands and turquoise waters make it a picture perfect place. Not only is it a beautiful place but if you arrive at the right time you may even get the chance to see turtles nesting or hatchlings running for the sea.
4) Marmaris Beach, Marmaris
If you’re staying in Marmaris, one of Turkey’s most popular resorts you’ll have 24 hour access to Marmaris Beach. During the day the beach is perfect for soaking up all of that beautiful Mediterranean sunshine, whilst in the evening you can stroll along the shoreline away from the bustling resort centre.
Possibly the most idyllic beach in all of Turkey, Blue Lagoon Beach in the beautiful resort of Ölüdeniz is a popular beach for sun worshiping, swimming and much more. The stunning peninsula is surrounded by natural beauty at every turn. If you want to get a unique view of the surrounding area then I’d recommend taking to the sky paragliding.
