As if you needed any more reasons to visit the glamorous Greek island of Mykonos! Check out these tips (and dreamy pics) from our favourite travel Instagrammers

In the past few years, Mykonos has made a name for itself as one of the Med’s party playgrounds, and is it any wonder? This sun-drenched Aegean island, with its sapphire-blue seas, golden beaches and white-washed, sugar-cube houses, attracts the likes of Katy Perry, Cristiano Ronaldo and the Kardashians for dawn-to-dusk champagne parties on the sand, dinners at Nobu and designer shopping. But with so many trendy spots in such a small space, how do you work out which are the best ones to visit? Don’t panic: we’ve spoken to three jet-setting Instagrammers about their favourite places to hang out in Mykonos. Here are their suggestions…

“Kiki’s Tavern on Agios Sostis beach in the north is the best lunch spot on the island. They cook the old-school way, on a barbecue, so things move slowly. But the food is incredible. I recommend eating your own bodyweight in homemade taramasalata (a far cry from the fluorescent-pink stuff you get in the UK) and freshly grilled octopus. Afterwards, head to Little Venice to bag a seat for sunset. The whole island comes out to watch it every night, usually with a cocktail in hand.”

“I’d advise anyone visiting to rent a car because it means you can truly get to know all the island. A visit to Agios Sostis is one of the best things you can do. A vast, unspoiled beach near a little fishing village; this secluded spot is so beautiful you’ll want to set up camp all day. I’m also salivating thinking about Spilia; a chic beachside restaurant on Agia Anna in the south. Alemàgou on Tarsanas beach is another favourite, serving simple, delicious dishes.

“You’ve got to see the 16th century windmills; they’re one of the most iconic sights on Mykonos. For relaxation, I love luxurious and calm Psarou Beach. It’s a bit further away from downtown Mykonos and makes a nice break from all those crazy party beaches. I like spending time at Scorpios on Paraga Beach, which has a really nice, classy vibe, offers a beachside food and drink service, and has a cool, boho restaurant.”
