Royal Caribbean are celebrating their 50th anniversary this year. After kicking off the festivities last year with an amplification of Independence of the Seas and Mariner of the Seas, this year, three more ships will be upgraded. One of which is the hotly anticipated Allure of the Seas, the second ship in the Oasis Class to be amplified. Everything will be bigger and better, with all-new thrills, nightlife, and culinary sensations.
Sailing out of Barcelona from May 2020, you can enjoy a classic Mediterranean cruise, stopping off in destinations such as Palma, Barcelona, Rome, Florence and more. Then, for Winter 2020 into Spring 2021, the ship will move to Miami. Here, the itinerary will switch up to cruise around the Caribbean, with half of the sailings including a stop at Royal Caribbean’s own island, Perfect Day at CocoCay.
Fancy taking on the tallest slide at sea? Thrill-seekers will love plunging down the length of 10 decks (150ft) in no more than 13 seconds. Great for both adults and kids, you’ll want to keep going back for more!
Laser Tag: Clash for the Crystal City
Pick up your weapons and battle it out in this icy new glow-in-the-dark laser tag. Fight for either the Yetis or the Snowshifters in teams of six or seven to take control of a mystical frozen city in Clash for the Crystal City, the ultimate showdown. Head back in the evening for a tamer activity, and you’ll see the area has magically transformed into an ice rink!
As well as watching live bands in the Music Hall and Broadway stars at the theatre, Allure of the Seas now has its very own Spotlight Karaoke bar, where you can be the star of the show. So, whether or not you’ll admit that karaoke is a guilty pleasure of yours, we have a place to express that hidden passion and sing your heart out. Want to have your own private party, or just not a fan of singing to an audience? Well, you’ll be able to have your very own karaoke booth, for up to eight people!
Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar
Totally reimagined for 2020, Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar is the perfect place for an evening of dining together. You can choose to sit indoors or outdoors and enjoy your Italian favourites with a wide range of wines to pick from. You’ll find it in Central Park, a peaceful and secluded outdoor area where there’s a piano player creating a relaxed vibe. What could be better than some mouth-watering pizza, pasta, and tiramisu after a long day of fun in the sun?
Authentic BBQ winners slow-cooked to perfection await you at Portside BBQ. You can choose from the juicy meat-packed menu of pulled pork, chicken, beef ribs and much more. Make sure you leave room for dessert though, as the Banana Dream and brownie and cookie mash-up known as the ‘Brookie’ are must-try favourites.
If that’s not enough, there are lots more amazing activities, nightlife and places to get food waiting for you on board! One thing that people always forget is that everything mentioned above and so much more is included in the price of the cruise. Talk about great value for money!
