Group holidays Cancun

Mexico's premier holiday resort offers a fantastic coastline, sumptuous accommodation, high-end fashion stores and lively entertainment complexes. Hotel Zone is one long beach, with the lagoon on one side. One of the best things about Cancún is that the sand is crushed coral rather than crushed rock, so it stays cool underfoot even on the hottest days. The downtown area offers visitors a change from the beachfront Hotel Zone, with bustling markets, buzzing bars where mariachi bands play, and some great restaurants and shops. Famous for its beautiful beaches and legendary nightlife, Cancun is a perfect destination for group holidays.

But while it gets dark you may wish to visit some of the most popular sites in Cancun and discover the history of the place. Towards the south end of the Hotel Zone are the ruins of El Rey (The King). The site takes its name from a skeleton uncovered there, which was thought to possibly be a former Mayan king.

Besides the nightlife, Cancun offers a lot of activities too. It attracts experienced divers as well as tourists and locals who prefer snorkelling.

Cancún lives to party. Most hotel bars spill out onto the beach and are open until late. Terrasta reggae bar, Coco Bongo, La Boom and Dady’O are the most popular bars here, but if it’s all about the music, then The City is the place. Mambo Café features live music and steamy dance routines including salsa, merengue and samba.
