Group holidays Canary Islands

There are many activities available for the more active groups; both Fuerteventura and Lanzarote boast 18-hole golf courses for keen golfers. Team sports such as tennis, squash, volleyball and cycling are also available in most resorts. However, the most prominent hobby in this area is the water sports, due to the excellent options and accessibility in this area.

Fuerteventura provides challenging conditions for surfing and windsurfing, while for fishing, deep-sea fishing and snorkelling, you don’t need to have any experience. For the more experienced divers, the scuba centre is an exciting option to take.

Each of the Canary Islands has a different character and this applies to entertainment too. Fuerteventura, over the past few years, has begun to offer an increasing variety of things to do. In the evening, you can have everything from a long, seafront meal to live bands and dancing into the small hours. Some bars offer live music, or karaoke, but otherwise organised entertainment is centred in the hotels. Entry to nightclubs is usually free, but drinks can be expensive. Eating out in the Canary Islands is relatively inexpensive and you will find everything from fish and chips or pizza to haute cuisine.

Agua de Bueyes

Agua de Bueyes is one of several villages that form Antigua, a province in Fuerteventura. Set across a flat landscape with lava fields and salt pits, there are both interesting museums and beautiful beaches in the province.
