Summer holidays Playa Blanca

If you are looking for a summer holiday of rest and relaxation, you will find it on a Playa Blanca.

Playa Blanca is sunny and sheltered, with captivating views across the shimmering blue water looking towards neighbouring island Fuerteventura and the tiny Lobos Island.

The port, where ferries to other islands depart from, is a vibrant, busy part of town. The harbour at the other side of the town, Marina Rubicyn, is another popular area. Picturesque and attractive, it is a great spot to relax over a drink admiring some of the luxury yachts.

There are some good beaches in the centre of Playa Blanca. However, dedicated sun-seekers often head out of town to some of the beaches found to the east towards Papagayo.

On your summer holiday to Playa Blanca, as well as lazing on the beach, you can enjoy some amazing trips. Leisure cruises from Playa Blanca leave several times a day, with outings to Papagayo beach as well as catamaran excursions, a pirate cruise that’s ideal for children and the schooner Marea Errota. Or, if you prefer to get to explore underwater, there are amazing opportunities for diving. The Marina Rubicуn Diving Center offers daily diving trips.

Central Playa Blanca becomes quiet at night and so it is not ideal for party-goers wanting to dance until breakfast time. There is a disco at Punta Limones, west of the resort centre and the nearest all-night music and dance venues are in Puerto del Carmen.
