Summer holidays Orlando

Orlando is located in the so-called “Sunshine State” of Florida, which, as you might expect, makes it a great place for a summer holiday. With theme parks such as SeaWorld, featuring a variety of live marine animal exhibits, plus a handful of shows and several thrill rides, you are in for a fantastic time.

The most popular attractions at SeaWorld are ‘Believe!’, starring a cast of killer whales and their trainers, and ‘Manta’, which is the newest ride. A high-speed rollercoaster on which you are strapped to the belly of giant manta ray-shaped creatures before gliding at 90 kph (55 mph), you’ll feel like you’re in an underwater world.

If you are into dryer attractions, head down International Drive. On the main strip in the tourist area of Orlando are dozens of small family attractions, hundreds of restaurants and many hotels and motels. But there is one thing you can not miss –a giant upside-down building in which the WonderWorks entertainment complex is housed. With over 100 interactive exhibits, including a laser tag arena, a gift shop and the theatre where The Outta Control Magic Comedy Dinner Show is presented nightly, it is great fun for young and old.

During the summer months, 4th July (Independence Day) is a holiday that’s accompanied by huge celebrations, including at the theme parks, where you’ll find spectacular night-time firework displays presented in conjunction with parades and other festivities.
