Summer holidays Larnaca

Boasting sublime weather throughout most of the year, as well as wonderful beaches, Larnaca is an ideal summer holiday destination.

Stretching across 25 kilometres, the beach has soft sand, a huge range of watersports, and a wide choice of tempting beach bars. Larnaca has some of the cleanest and safest beaches, where the Castella, Mckenzie and Phinikoudes beaches have been awarded Blue Flags. As well as watersports, coastal walks are also a great draw, where the golden beach at Avmidou is a favourite spot.

Larnaca gives plenty of opportunities to explore the island and the sea. There is diving, deep sea fishing, kayaking and windsurfing along the shoreline while, in town, you can book a Jeep safari into the Troodos mountains. You can also join a free walking tour of Larnaca called Larnaca Past and Present.

The bars and tavernas of the town offer communal dancing and bouzouki music for some traditional entertainment. There are one or two night clubs in the resort, along the promenade, but these don’t tend to get going until after midnight. The area, known as Laiki Yeitonia, is where you'll find the biggest concentration of taverns, bars, cafés and the clubs Memphis and Scaliano.

At Zenon Kitieos Street you will find plenty of small shops with local crafts, which make for an amazing souvenir or present from your Larnaca summer holiday.
