Summer holidays Ibiza Town

Your summer holiday to Ibiza can be the experience of a lifetime. Artists discovered Ibiza in the 1950s, hippies in the 1960s, the jet set in the 1970s, and since the 1990s it has become the biggest all-night party place in Europe. This little jewel of an island is home to film stars and fishermen, farmers and fashion models, DJs and dancers, and has something for everyone.

The golden sandy beaches are a perfect place to rest and have some fun with the great variety of water sports and boat rides. Try horse riding or golfing at Carretera Jesus-Cala Llonga, on the coast between Ibiza Town and Santa Eularia.

On your Ibiza summer holiday, make sure to visit one of the Hippy Markets, where there is so much handmade jewellery that even those with a discerning taste will find something they like.

As on every holiday, you must try the local cuisine; a local favourite is squid, which often comes deepfried in batter – calamar a la romana – or you might prefer Sobrassada (paprika-flavoured cured pork sausage). Utiffara (aniseed-flavoured pork sausage) are also good in a bocadillo (sandwich).
