Summer holidays Corralejo

Summer holidays to Fuerteventura are the ideal destination for breaks that are filled with sunshine. The frequent, warm breeze makes windsurfing, kitesurfing and bodyboarding a real hit with watersports fans. Surfers are drawn to the town's balmy breezes and its excellently stocked windsurf schools.

At the areas along the coast where the wind eases, you’ll find gentle tides making for great spots for those that opt for soaking in the sun and relaxing on the golden sand. Here, you'll find families and couples who come for the warm, year-round Fuerteventura sun, enjoying the translucent, safe bathing waters which have been awarded with the coveted European Blue Flag. The beaches are lined by welcoming beach bars and good value seafood restaurants.

There is also a great range of golf courses and plenty of opportunity for deep sea fishing. Alternatively, whilst on your summer holiday to Corralejo, you may wish to simply take a boat trip from Corralejo harbour to the uninhabited island of Los Lobos, and snorkel in the clear, shallow waters which surround it that are teeming with an abundance of colourful life.

On land, Baku Family Park is centrally situated in Corralejo. The park consists of water slides, a wave pool, mini golf, an animal enclosure and a haunted house and there's plenty of space to stretch out and enjoy a picnic.

There are several pleasant beaches in the centre of Corralejo, while the best by far are the 'Grandes Playas' or 'Dunas de Corralejo' to the south - a blindingly white expanse of dunes, rolling and shifting inland to a protected nature reserve.
