Summer holidays Benidorm

With its beautiful twin beaches of fine golden sand, Benidorm is the perfect setting for your summer holiday. The west beach, Playa de Poniente, is longer and less crowded, and with a rock free shoreline, you will find it wonderfully serene and secluded. It is backed by the Parque de Elche, which features breezy palms that come from the town of the same name.

The east beach, Playa de Levante, is livelier with its long, pedestrianised promenade stretching east from the Old Town to the foothills of the Sierra Helada at Rincón de Loix. It is lined with restaurants and cafés that often feature afternoon tea dances and evening entertainment.

Between the two, sheltered by the port and the cliffs of the castle, is the small beach of Mal Pas, where smugglers used to land their cargo. For the best views of the coastline, take a boat ride from Benidorm to Calpe. There is time to wander around the port beneath the majestic Penyal d’Ifac before your return journey.

Benidorm summer holidays have so much to offer, alongside the beautiful beaches. The thrilling waterpark Aqualandia is said to be the largest in Europe and certainly makes a big splash with visitors. Next door to Aqualandia is Mundomar, Costa Blanca’s ‘SeaWorld’, which has a colourful array of toucans, flamingoes, bats and birds.

After the busy or relaxed day, enjoy the legendary nightlife with the liveliest entertainment, featuring a variety of disco pubs and cabaret bars along Avenida del Mediterráneo and Calle Ibiza.
