Summer holidays Turkey

A great summer holiday destination, Turkey has a fantastic climate of long, hot, sunny days, beautiful sandy beaches, crystal-clear seas, friendly people, a lot to see and do and a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere.

Marmaris and Hisaronu, are ideal for the fun-loving crowd with a buzzing atmosphere and non-stop nightlife. If it is sandy beaches you are after, head to the east of the Lycian region where there are arguably some of the best beaches in the country.

In the Mediterranean part of Turkey, West Beach is the longest stretch of sand and a great place to spend the day. There is a thin ribbon of hotels, restaurants and bars along the beach that stretch into the distance, as well as a full range of water sports and all the usual tourist amenities.

Konyaaltı is a long, wide bay fronting Antalya’s expanding ‘hotel district’. The whole section is split into 12 pebble beach areas, each with its own selection of bars and activities ranging from water sports to beach volleyball and soccer.

Çeşme’s ‘Golden Beach’ and Altınkum Beach are also good days for long days in the sun. Long and unspoilt, they rival Ilıca as the best beaches in the northern Aegean.
