Self catering holidays Larnaca

A great choice for a self-catering holiday, Larnarca is a buzzing and picturesque town with over 25km of sandy beach.

The ideal place to relax and unwind, the sandy shores of Larnaca are perfect for long days on the beach. There are beach bars and restaurants so that you never need to stray too far from the water’s edge, and a wide selection of watersports for you to try.

The town is an attractive mix of elegant promenades and narrow side streets filled with classy boutiques, souvenir shops and stalls selling the local crafts of the island. Zenon Kitieos Street is the best place for traditional souvenirs, such as lace, woodcrafts and pottery. Or, for antiques and icons, head to Michael S. Michael Antiques on the Mihail Paridi.

If you want to sample some traditional Greek cuisine, mezze meals are ideal. Huge plates of seafood, salads, tomatoes and aubergine salsas and tender lamb are served accompanied with freshly baked breads, sweet olive oils and delicious cheese-filled pastries. Zephyros, a restaurant that overlooks the colourful fishing harbour, serves one of the best fish meze in town. Another good choice for dining out is Masalas, an excellent Indian restaurant. Though the menu is relatively short, the dishes are carefully prepared, with prompt and friendly service.
