Package holidays Marmaris

The liveliest spot on the Lycian Coast, with exotic bazaars and a colourful nightlife, Marmaris is a great destination for a package holiday.

There are lots of activities organized on a package trip to keep you entertained. You can head over to visit the neighbouring Icmeler, or take a yacht or boat trip to lovely Cleopatra Island. As legend has it, Mark Anthony gave this little island to Cleopatra as a wedding present and imported the fine white sand for her.

Another good place to visit is the tiny Ottoman castle. This castle was built in the late 16th century and has some of amazing views of the old town and the bay beyond. It is also a museum with some very interesting artefacts.

When in Marmaris you cannot leave before you have tried a traditional Turkish bath. The bath at Beldibi is said to be the most authentic one of all and offers an authentic experience. And, if you fancy some outdoor activities, visit Alternatif Turizm, a well-established company that offers activities including river and sea kayaking, rafting on the Dalaman River, canyoning, hiking and mountain biking.

In the evening, you can go to one of the amazing bars and clubs in Marmaris. One in particular is very popular and well-known. Called Green House, it is probably the oldest bar in town, with loud music and a great atmosphere. It also has its own beach club outside town with a free shuttle bus to take you there.
