Traditionally a place for being a quintessential island paradise, Cayo Leventado possesses two of the Dominican Republic’s loveliest beaches. The larger beach, Playa Grande, is the more developed of the two, but the marvellous Playa Honda is only a 15-minute walk away.

The island of Saona is one of the prettiest islands, and most unspoilt part of the country. The island is protected as part of the Parque Nacional del Este and its beaches are in pristine condition with classic white sands and swaying palm trees.

Celebrate Easter Thursday - an important day in the Dominican calendar – by going to the beach and partying with lots of rum. Street parties in the resorts are also popular - so don't miss one of these during your Domincan Republic beach holiday. Entire streets are blocked off, for people to dance, drink and mingle along the string of bars that line the coast.
