Active holidays Bodrum

With a wide selection of gorgeous sandy beaches and some spectacular natural landscapes, Bodrum is a great destination if you are looking for an active holiday.

With a huge selection of watersports, there is no end of activities available on the coastline. Kite-surfing, jet skis and paragliding are all popular and you can hire equipment and organise tuition from a number of operators in the resort. Windsurfing is another favourite. Bitez Beach is the best place to learn and a hotspot for windsurfers.

Or you can explore the underwater world and learn to dive. Courses are available in Bodrum at the PADI Askin Dive Center. Turkey has a rich marine life and exploring it underwater will be an experience you’ll never forget. The centre has some excellent instructors and specialises in underwater archaeology expeditions.

The marina in Bodrum is particularly attractive, and hosts the Bodrum Cup, a yachting regatta. From here, you can go on a cruise on a gullet boat to the outlying islands. Passing very close to the coastline, these cruises, explore hidden coves and inlets that are strictly off-limits for overland travel.

Inland there are a huge range of activities and excursions on offer. From river rafting and canyoning to jeep safaris and horse riding, cycle hire to waterparks, there is something to keep everyone busy on an active holiday.
