Family holidays Paphos

The harbour is the natural hub of the new town - a pretty, bustling spot to admire on your Paphos family holiday, where the remains of the Venetian gate still stand. It's lined with cafes, taverns and souvenir shops. The town's medieval fort enjoys unrivalled views stretching across all of Paphos, while, above the harbour, Saranta Kolones is a castle ruin built by Crusaders in the 12th century, and wonderfully preserved.

All sorts of beach activities from water and jet skiing to windsurfing and pedal-boating are on offer on your family holiday to Paphos. Both beaches that back straight on to hotels and those a little further afield provide equipment hire and lessons throughout the year at a reasonable price.

Something a little different for a family outing is the Snake George Reptile Park, home to more than 100 snakes and other reptiles native to Cyprus. You can also visit the Pafos Bird & Animal Park. Enjoy all the magic of nature in this unique collection of birds and animals, with daily parrot and owl shows and a children’s petting zoo. This park is set among lakes, ponds and gardens and there are free transfers daily except on Fridays. Paphos is indeed a brilliant choice for a family holiday!
