Family holidays Benidorm

Benidorm’s beautiful bay is split into two sandy crescents by a rock promontory, once the site of a commanding castle and is a perfect destination for your family holiday.

The twin beaches add up to 3 miles of fine golden sand. Most of the action takes place along the east beach, Playa de Levante. The long, pedestrianised promenade is lined with restaurants and cafés, some with afternoon tea dances and evening entertainment. It is also pleasant for an evening amble, since the noisy discos have all been moved into another area of the town.

The west beach, Playa de Poniente, is longer and less crowded and its shoreline is rock free. Here you will find a bit more privacy.

Aqualandia, a thrilling water park, certainly makes a big splash with visitors and is very popular with children. Next door to Aqualandia is Mundomar, the Costa Blanca’s ‘SeaWorld’ which has a colourful array of toucans, flamingoes, bats and birds. Dolphins perform twice a day in the dolphinarium, and the parrots and sea lions also put on a show.

Just outside Benidorm is Terra Mítica, over a million square metres of theme park based on the ancient civilisations of Egypt, Iberia, Rome, Greece and the Barbary Coast. The huge complex and its great stone constructions feature top-class themed restaurants and rides with miniature versions available for young children.

Terra Natura will take you around the world to see people and animals in their native settings and natural habitats. Education and fun rolled into one for kiddies and adults alike.
