Family holidays Alcudia

Alcudia is perfect for family holidays in the sun. The Lago Esperanza watersports centre is the first port of call for those wanting to try jet skiing, paragliding, kite surfing and activities including pedaloes and banana boats, lined up and waiting for you to hop on. Charter companies offer half-day and full-day cruises around the coast, with some specialising in fishing, others diving, some just soaking up the sun in hidden coves around the headland.

Go-karting at Karting Magic, is a great, fun way to spend a couple of hours, as are the chutes and slides of Hidropark, Majorca's only northern water park. The stretch from Port d’Alcúdia south to Ca’n Picafort is one enormous beach, with the kind of sand you dream about. There are sunshades and sunbeds for hire and pedaloes to play around. With its giant water slides, swimming and boating pools, and three mini-golf courses, the Hidropark makes a great day out for all the family and is also suitable for young children. For a family bike ride, take the road south of Alcúdia to reach the wetlands at S’Albufera - an important breeding place for native and migratory birds.

If you want to try the local delicacies, you should visit Avinguda de Pere Mas i Reus, known by the locals as Dollar Street because of its many foreign restaurants and bars. An excellent place is Cheers, a family oriented bar and restaurant which serves a wide variety of food. Prices are reasonable and there is also a kid’s menu. Book your family holiday to Alcudia now.
