The largest of the Ionian Islands, Cephalonia is an oasis of spectacular scenery. Where to go
Located in a sheltered bay, Argostolion is the capital of Kefalonia. Sadly, it was almost completely destroyed in the 1953 earthquake. The biggest town on the island, it has a wide pedestrian promenade and a well-organised port.
