Roda Holidays

Roda is located on the north east coast of the Corfu, the second largest of the Ionian Islands. Known as the ‘emerald isle’, the island is famous for its sparkling turquoise waters and sun-soaked, sandy shores.

Nestled in the valleys surrounding Pantokratoras, the highest peak in Corfu, Rodas is a picturesque resort. The beach, a 4km sand and shingle stretch that shelves gently into warm and shallow waters, has been awarded a European Blue Flat for quality. It stretches for the entire length of the village, and is particularly popular with families.

Roda, surrounded by some spectacular scenery, is also good base for excursions, walks and pony treks. With a variety of long walks through olive groves or along the coastal peninsula, it is popular with those looking for activity away from the beach. There are also some fascinating archaeological sites to visit, such as the remains of the Temple of Apollo, which date back to the 5th century B.C.

Charming and quaint, Roda is ideal for families and couples. However, though there is a refreshing lack of neon lights and loud international pubs, there are lots of lively bars and cafes with live music that stay open until the early hours.
