Kalkan Holidays

A gorgeous area of the Lycian coastline, Kalkan is an idyll of crystal-clear turquoise waters and powdery sand beaches nestled at the foot of the Taurus Mountains.

The region is an oasis for those in search of sun, sea and sand. Though the outskirts are dotted with all-inclusive hotels and resorts, it is well-worth eating in the centre of town. The restaurants do serve international favourites, but the traditional Turkish dishes are exquisite. Platters of mezze and generous portions of freshly prepared goulashes or kebabs, topped off with traditional tea or a syrupy sweet Baklava cake, will melt your taste-buds. Welcoming you with friendly smiles and offering complimentary courses or trinkets as a token of Kalkan, the locals are also incredibly hospitable. It is no surprise visitors want to return every year.
