Falmouth Holidays

Falmouth is on the north coast of Jamaica and is famous for being one of the Caribbean’s best preserved Georgian towns, as well as the perfect resort for sunseekers, as it guarantees year round sunshine, ideal for holiday makers who want to get away in winter.

In 2011, a $180 million port was built to accommodate the largest class of cruise ships, the Oasis Class. Historical hotspots can be viewed by a tram or a walking tour where you can educate yourself on the historic events of the 18th and 19th century from town squares, parks, churches and houses of famous residents.

Other places worth a visit include the Dolphin Cove and Dunns River Falls, famous for its 600 foot waterfall that can be climbed and water activities such as swimming with dolphins. Go rafting on Martha Brae where you can take a ride on a 30 foot bamboo raft and admire the tropical scenery.

In Falmouth you will find shopping a treat with markets and local shops selling local craftwork, jewellery, paintings, fabrics and clothing influenced by culture and history.

In most of the restaurants you will be able to experience the famously tasty Jamaican cuisine. Jerk pork or chicken are among the most famous dishes and there are over 300 types of jerk, as well as the islands naturally grown fruits.
