Bugibba is a small town with a big personality on the north east coast of Malta. Forming part of St. Paul’s Bay, alongside Qawra, it is the tourist hub of the island, attracting a fun-loving crowd every summer.

Spread along a rocky headland, sun-bathers sprawl out on the flat, sun-drenched rocks and piers, occasionally dunking into the ocean or going for a stroll along the palm-fringed, sea-front promenade. A shoreline of small, rocky coves, it is popular territory for snorkelers and is home to a selection of water-sports centres. There are also three small harbours and an artificial sandy beach, while the nearest natural sand beach is only 8km away at Mellieha Bay.

A town with a bubbly atmosphere, the action in the evening centres on the main square alongside the promenade. Packed with a mix of international and Maltese restaurants, karaoke bars and nightclubs, it stays lively until late. There are also night buses that run to Paceville, Malta’s nightlife capital.
