Bardolino Holidays

A region of Italy world-renowned for its wine, Bardolino is a picture-perfect town located on the eastern shore of the spectacular Lake Garda, only 30km from Verona.

A charming jumble of pastel-coloured buildings spread along the edge of the lake, Bardolino is a popular destination in Italy. A town with a fun-loving atmosphere, the streets are full of restaurants and ice-cream parlours, piano bars and discos. However, though well-equipped for toursists, the town features a typically Italian, bustling piazza and is distinctly medieval. It centres on the bell tower of the 11th century church of San Severo, and features several historic monuments, including the city walls, which date back to the 12th century, and some beautiful frescoes.

Surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, and within easy reach of the impressive Monte Baldo, Bardolino is a haven for outdoor-enthusiasts. The surrounding landscape is perfect to explore by bike or on horse-back, and is also popular country for keen walkers. The pebble beach by the lake is also a hub for water-sports: the northern shores by Melcesine are particularly popular with wind-surfers and water-skiers.

For those keen to explore further, the town is within easy reach of Italy’s largest theme park, Gardaland, and the multiple attractions of Canevaworld, which feature Movieland and an impressive water-park.
