Armacao de Pera Holidays

Armacao De Pera is situated in the centre of the famous holiday destination, the Algarve. As well as golden sunshine, Armacao de Pera promises an outstanding white sandy stretch of beach, shops, restaurants, supermarkets and bars. The town was originally a collection of fishing boats before the 15th century when Armacao De Pera was known for its bustling tuna fishing industry, hence the large array of restaurants specialising in fresh fish.

In the summer months Armacao De Pera welcomes tourists from across the world and for the rest of the year it transforms into a tranquil holiday location. Hotspots include the Zoomarine sea-life part at Guia, Algrave Shopping Mall and Alcantarilha and Lagoa water parks.

The rural village of Pera holds one of the longest sandy beaches in the Algarve with charming cobbled streets in the town. Near Armacao de Pera is the histrocial city of Silves which has many walls and a castle. In the ‘old village’ you can also find the remains, in the typical style of the Algarve, of the beachfront which was built in the 17th century in order to defend the village from pirates.
