Belgian Grand Prix, Spa: 28-30 August 2009

Typical Belgian Street, Brussels

The small town of Spa plays host annually to the Belgian Grand Prix, widely regarded as one of the toughest on the Formula 1 circuit, partly due to the unpredictable weather. Stay in Brussels (around 1.5 hours away) and combine an F1 weekend with a spot of sightseeing.

Italian Grand Prix, Monza: 11-13 September 2009

Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, Milan

Ferrari can bank on a partisan crowd at Monza, home to the Italian Grand Prix. Built in 1922, this track has hosted F1 races most years since then, so is one of the longest serving on the circuit. For a place to stay, nearby Milan (around 30 mins on the train) is a top choice.

Japanese Grand Prix, Tokyo: 2-4 October 2009

Tokyo
