Bangkok Temples and Grand Palace

Surrounded by special energy, Bangkok is a unique city with a life all of its own, adorned with glistening golden temples, colourful canals and exuding a vibrancy that must not be missed. The Grand Palace is the most dazzling of the city's monuments, situated in the centre surrounded by enormous white pillars, which includes the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, and is the most important and sacred of all Thai monuments and the residence of the early Kings of Siam.

Cheap Flights to Bangkok

Thousands of people book cheap flights to Bangkok all year round just for the chance to sample its fabulous shopping, excellent food and frenetic pace. Bangkok has preserved its cultural heritage and amidst the melee that is city life, hundreds of temples are poignant reminders of more peaceful pursuits. No other city in Asia offers as much as this and if you book a flight to Bangkok and you have the added bonus of when you get there choosing which hotel to stay in as the choice you have is simply remarkable.

Getting Around Bangkok

Even though it's a densely populated city, getting round is remarkably easy. Bangkok's famous tuk-tuks are a quick and easy way to get around - don't forget to haggle on the price before getting into a tuk-tuk and a little tip is to avoid those that say that you must go to a gem store or tailor as a part of the cheap price.

Reclining Buddha, Bangkok

You can also travel by river, canal or Skytrain and use these methods whenever you can to avoid unwanted traffic. Take a tuk-tuk and visit the nearby Wat Pho (Temple of the Reclining Buddha) as it is the oldest and largest temple in Bangkok and houses an enormous gold-plated Reclining Buddha.

Bangkok Floating Market

Take a boat trip to Damnoan Saduak Floating Market, 50 miles west of Bangkok, a colourful floating market which has not been turned into a tourist attraction, unlike the one in Bangkok itself which you should also visit.
