Getting around

A hire car is invaluable if you want to see more of Las Vegas than just The Strip and all hotels offer free parking. Las Vegas Boulevard is the main thoroughfare, making getting around very simple. Public transport is also available in the form of streetcars that run up and down The Strip.

Another relatively recent change in Las Vegas is the number of high-quality restaurants available, most of them within the hotels themselves - you can eat at several of the best restaurants in the US without having to reserve a table months in advance or pay sky-high prices.The famed eat-as-much-as-you-like buffet-style meals are also still available at very reasonable prices. It's well known that Las Vegas entertains 24 hours a day; again, most venues are based in the hotels. As well as the casinos, there are acrobatic performances, magic shows and celebrity tribute shows featuring a variety of stars, not forgetting a wide range of bars and clubs catering for all tastes. Las Vegas is fast becoming the clubbing capital of America, so dance the night away at Luxor's Club Ra, the Venetian's V Bar or MGM Grand's Studio 54.
