Excellent Hotel on International Drive!
I have to say I did have high hopes for this hotel as I have read some previous reviews and they all said excellent things. I wasn't disappointed and myself and my partner really enjoyed our stay. Hotel room was cleaned every day, clean sheets and clean towels every day. The room had a microwave, fridge and a coffee maker. The bathroom was a bit small but this never really bothered either of us. Pool was a fine size and it was never crowded, they also provided free towels. Breakfast was good for $7 all you can eat, plus tip and VAT. Staff were very friendly and we had no problems. The best thing I can say about this hotel is that the location is perfect for Universal! We walked to Universal every time and it was no hassle at all, took about 15-20 minutes. Also the I-Trolley bus stops just outside and we used this to go up and down International Drive, also the Lynx 42 stops outside across the road and this gets you to the Florida Mall! To get to Disney we used the I-Trolley South to stop 32 at Sea World and then crossed over the road to get the Lynx 50 and this takes you to Downtown Disney and Magic Kingdom Transportation centre and from there you can get to the other parks. We stayed on the 9th Floor (top floor) and had a nice view, you can also see the fireworks from Universal at night. We will definitely be staying here again!! We also tried the onsite Japanese Shogun restaurant and the bar both were excellent (on arrival you should get a 50% off voucher for the Shogun). Forgot to mention the free Wi-Fi which was very handy!

Location is key here if your not driving, beds are super comfy air con noisy just take your ear plugs, all staff very professional.

Fantastic hotel in Orlando at the Rosen Inn closest to universal.
This was an amazing hotel i have been here twice, it has a swimming pool, arcades, bar, cash machine, shop/deli and restaurant with an added bonus of a Japanese restaurant on site, the staff are wonderful, the maids were perfect my room was cleaned everyday with fresh towels and they supply free soap, shampoo's and moisturiser's, the free coffee, milk and sugar were brought in by the maids daily, the WIFI is super fast and free, there is nothing i could complain about the water park is straight facing the hotel and universal is a ten minute walk or you can use the hotels free transport, the trolley/bus stop is right outside the hotel, shops restaurants and fast food outlets are all within a few minutes walk, it has everything around it, highly recommended for singles, couples, the elderly and family's.

Great Parks Holiday in Florida
This hotel is now called the Rosen Inn and is perfectly placed for a parks holiday. It is only 20 - 25 minutes walk from the Universal Studios parks (about $8 including tip for a taxi) and the I-Ride trolley buses stop right outside. They take you the full length of International Drive for $17 dollars for a 14 day open ticket. With this you can reach SeaWorld, Aquatica and then on to Busch Gardens or Discovery Cove with the complimentary bus. We only had a car for the Disney parks. The rooms are clean with comfortable beds and with coffee making facilities, microwave and fridge. There are towels provided at the pool. The staff were friendly and helpful. We did not eat in the hotel as the Ponderosa across the road was only $3.99 for breakfast, all you can eat. There are also many good restaurants and cafes nearby. The only small complaint is that housekeeping could not seem to remember that there were 3 people in the room and we kept having to ask for more towels. This said, I would recommend this hotel and I would stay there again.

Whilst the flights were on time the seating and food were just about adequate. The hotel was average inasmuch as the facilities were ok but certainly nothing special. We cannot comment on the Thomas Cook reps as we never saw them at all. They ought to have tried, at least once, to make contact but they didn't. This was a 'bottom end' holiday and it was booked through a travel agent who, retrospecively, didn't have a clue what they were talkin about. The 'free' buses to Disney did not exist from our hotel and we were somewhat misled over the hotel location as International Drive is some distance from the Disney resorts.

Amazing time on International Drive
We have been to International Drive twice before and it never fails to give us a fab holiday - sooo much to see and do even before you get to the parks!
We stayed at the Rosen Inn closest to Universal (formerly the Rodeway Inn) and we couldn't fault it. We did have to change rooms mid-way through our stay due to a problem with the security doors but this could have happened anywhere and the staff were all so polite and helpful it was ok. Would recommend this hotel also as the room windows have a view rather than looking out onto the corridor like most hotels on I Drive - great to keep curtains wide open and watch the rollercoasters at Universal! We did not eat in the hotel so cant really comment on the food. There was a fridge, coffee machine and microwave in the room so we mostly had a bagel breakfast in our room to save space for the MASSIVE portions later in the day!
Brilliant holiday, can't wait to save the pennies to go back! x
