Rooms very dirty
When I first arrived, my thoughts I was not impressed, when I was taken to the room, suppose to be a double was tiny, dirty, and the bathroom was terrible, I asked to be moved and was told no room available. So was stuck in this room for 10 days, breakfast was horrible, not much of a selection unless you liked chips for breakfast, staff was ok, rude at times, the bonus was it was only 10 minute walk to the beach and bars, which were very nice. The pool is very small for the amount of guests staying there, and a couple of people got a infection from the pool, when I was there, pool was warm all the time. I would stay clear of this hotel it says a 3star more like -1 star. Plenty of other hotel near by to choose from. I have been very honest about this I never write a bad review, but this hotel deserve rs a very bad write up

Best holiday in Turkey
We spent 2 weeks at the Majestic Hotel in OLUDENIZ Turkey sept15-30th. As always not quite knowing what to expect as it was quite cheap. We got there early hrs 4.30am (the transfer rep was excellent) The instant we got there we were warmly greeted by the hotel staff and shown to our room, but 1st impressions were good as the hotel gardens were lit up and looked very tidy. The room was excellent with a large double bed on the 1st floor and it had 2 balconies, one at the rear and one at the side. The bathroom was excellent, a nice size shower and usual toilet and basin (hair dryer included) The bed was a little hard but we are used to that The bar is a good size and well stocked, the bar staff also brilliant. Morning breakfast was continental, Pancakes bread (toaster) fruit, Fruit juice tea coffee etc. All Ok. Snacks were good and dinners excellent with the odd belly dance , fire show and BBQ. Pool was as clean as a whistle and a good size for a smaller hotel. All the staff were helpful and great fun. Oludeniz itself was better than expected with plenty of bars restaurants, shops, cash exchanges etc. The beach was about 300mtrs 5-10 min walk depending on how many places you look at in between?. the walk to the beach was slightly downhill. The beach is clean with plenty of sun beds also there were boats for hire. Para-sailing was in abundance as they landed on the sea front. The blue lagoon beaches were lovely and clean and a 20min walk or a bus ride. In all the food was outstanding and fairly cheap, a normal meal being approx. £6 a pint of Effes 5-6Lira £1.90 £2.10 cocktails 8Lira Local spirit and coke 8Lira. We got 2.855 Lira to the pound when we were there. We would definitely go again. Although the plane was late there and back the stewards and stewardess were great. The planes were very clean and tidy with leather seats and the food on the plane not to bad. All in all a great package. Well done Thomas cook.

Great holiday in Hotel Majestic
The hotel and staff are very helpful and friendly. Any problems were immediately sorted out. Daily maid and towels changed every day. Plenty of pool side sun beds. Hotel was in a great locatio, easy walking distance to the beach, blue lagoon and shops and bars. The only thing I found to be a little negative about is the restaurants and bars you pass - all try and coax you in, but really you get that everywhere and as I said it was the only negative I could think of. Great holiday.

realy enjoyed our stay at the majestic hotel, the toels were changed every day , the staff were freindly and helpfull,.not forgetting duncan the dog who was a real character, free bus to the beach outside the hotel and back , plus cheap bus ride to hisseronu,,enjoyed it so much we are going agatn soon..

Great resort but rubbish hotel.
We booked the holiday with Thomas Cook but found out (when talking to the rep at the end of the holiday) that the holiday was provided by Sunset. The hotel was advertised on the Thomas Cook website as a 3 star but turned out to be 2 (found out at the same time as when the real holiday provider was disclosed). Although we loved the resort and had a fantastic holiday because of this, the hotel was a huge let down, largely because it was poorly run - the reception staff would put the radio on full volume at 5.30 in the morning and use the hotel gardens as their dog's toilet and didn't even clear up the mess when asked. Furthermore, swimming in the pool was impossible as it was far too small for the number of guests and was full of kids and inflatables the whole time it was open. Because of this, we hardly spent any time at the hotel and were only able to catch up with the rep half way through our holiday. When we did, we said that we were unhappy with the hotel and would like to move even if it meant paying more. She said she would organise this and got back to us the following day with a quote of £1089 (b&b) for the last 6 days. We thought this was a bit extreme as the hotel we requested was supposedly only 1 star higher in rating; we would have moved to any other hotel if we were given the option at a more affordable price. When we declined the offer, the rep hung up swiftly and said she was too busy to help us in any other way. When we saw the rep on leaving, she asked what we expected when we booked last minute with Sunset. I don't know if we would have got better service if we had kicked up more of a fuss but we didn't want the hotel or Thomas Cook (Sunset) to ruin our holiday. We would definitely go to Olu Deniz again but would not stay in the Majestic and would not book with Thomas Cook.

last minute family holiday
Booked over the phone with Thomas Cook from their Sunset brochure 4 weeks before departure, tickets received within 10 days.
Never been to Turkey before and taking daughters 18 and 17 yrs so it could go either way! Staff at the hotel were very friendly, particularly the bar staff Fatma and Mourat who worked what seemed 24/7.
We booked half board, breakfast was typically Turkish, sliced meats, cheese, olives but also plenty of ceareals, bread/toast and omlettes, fried eggs and pancakes cooked to order every morning. Evening meal was always tasty, our daughters can be fussy eaters but there was always a good choice so there was always something for everyone. We ate out a couple of times but didn't think there was as much value for money as other reviews suggested, But do recommend the Sultan Ahmet at the top of the strip, traditional turkish meals (near Cloud 9 bar. )
Accomodation varied, we know some parts of the hotel had been refurbished but booking late into the season we didn't expect one! Our rooms were basic but very clean, fresh towels and sheets every day with lovely flower decorations left on the bed by the maid.
Air con £4 per day, Fridge £4 per day and room safe £2 per day. This is added to your final bill. Hotel uses a card system to pay for drinks etc so you can settle at reception daily, weekly or at the end. But if you pay by credit or debit card they charge a 10% handling fee, something the hotel rep did not tell us at the meeting. We opted to go to a cash point and withdraw cash to pay.
Hotel was a short walk from the main strip so at bedtime we were not kept awake by load music - although I have to say guests arriving and leaving with horrible early hour flight times seemed to have no regard for anyone else as they noisily carted cases down the corridor.
Overall the holiday was great, Turkish people were very friendly and we would go back again. Our girls enjoyed meeting similar aged and younger people at the hotel, a real family hotel (very few babies/toddlers).

Great for daytime and evening
Olu Deniz is a fantastic resort during daytimes and evenings. Lively without being rowdy. Really good choice of restaurants and all food was excellent. Shop and bar staff are very friendly with great customer service. Majestic Hotel has nice layout and the cleaning standard was excellent. Only downside was credit card system of paying for food and drink in hotel as my sister was presented with a large bill when we were just about to leave for the airport - it turned out that they had given someone else a credit card attached to her room. This took a while to resolve and so we left on a sour note. Definitely going back to Olu Deniz next year but will choose a hotel nearer the centre of the resort.
