Grand ideal premium nice clean environment,friendly staff and the management, best quality food with so much variety/choice that you would be unable to select, we visited this hotel again in 6 months time and now again going back in 4 months. If you've got kids, it is the best hotel for you. Honestly its best value for your money.
Marmaris in a whole nice clean city, no crimes, friendly people so this hotel is ideally located in the centre, whereever you wanna go, you may go in 15 minutes walk or round the clock bus service which accepts, turkish lira, or british pound or us dollar.
Highly recomended.

We had a great holiday at the Grand ideal hotel in Marmaris. The staff were so friendly and the hotel was lovely. Can't wait to go back again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by MonMon Great location, good food, clean rooms, very poor entertainment
Stayed in Grand Ideal mid October. We liked the hotel, very helpful and friendly staff, food was great. We were going out every night after a few drinks at the pool bar and the entertainment we've seen during our stay was absolutely dreadful. We couldn't take it even after a few drinks.

This was my first trip to Turkey and i was a little causious with a few reviews for this hotel not being great.
We checking in on the first day and the service was incredable, the staff where friendly and helpful.
We got a 5th floor room which was small but very clean, with there only being the two of us and not really spending any time in the room it was just perfect size. The room was always clean and we had a light out in the bathroom when we arrived i popped to reception to tell them and someone came to fix it straight away.
Overall we had a Fabulous stay at the Grand Ideal with entertainment every evening which was something different every night. The sttaff where great in the day around the pool playing various games keeping people occuppied. The pool was fab too with plenty of space for people to enjoy it.
I will be booking to go back in 2013!

Had a great holiday here. Not quite central though, and more chance of getting served at the bar if you are a woman!!! Will be going back though.

Grand ideal is a lovely hotel but had its faults as well, the room maids were very nice but didnt do a lot of cleaning in the room, would of liked having the swans made out of sheets but wasn't a big deal.
Room was on 5th floor but room was massive but very small bathroom?? We had two balconys which was lovely.... Brilliant views! The cleanliness of the hotel is amazing! They cleaned the pool everyday! And they cleaned the floors everyday after 6, ready for the evening. Beware of the bar! It smells like sick! And there were loads of wasps as well,
We booked with Thomas cook and couldn't fault them, we traveled in the beginning of July, ( extremely hot ! It reached 52'c one day and evenings still in its 40's)
Im not a fussy eater but my partner is! But always found something to eat!
Overall it was a lovely holiday just wished had we book for 10 days instead of 7 As wanted to see a bit more of turkey

I am typing this review during my stay to ensure that my views are accurate.
I have ready many of the reviews on the site and particularly those relating to food. I can only assume that those people will probably be happier with Macdonalds and for those people, there is one just 5 minutes walk away.
Let me start by saying that you will not be disappointed ! The hotel has fantastic facilities and one major factor for me was FREE WIFI, even available in our room making us able to contact friends and family back home via skype, so no expensive phone calls needed, it even enabled me to sadly communicate with my office whilst away.
All I can say is the room was found to be very clean and spacious and we were lucky enough to get a pool view even though it was booked late. The rooms are air conditioned and this is needed as it was 48 degrees outside!
The hotel offers food for 15 hours and drinks 24 hours a day.
The only fault I could find was the entertainment for the kids, personally it was a relief for me as I always find the entertainment at other hotels to be poor and therefore we managed with quieter family time together.

stayed here for a week end of june 2012 was absolutley amazing! anyboby going dont take to many clothes with youas all the shops around sell great fake designer clothes, amazing location (minutes from the beach and mcdonalds across the road) hotel food was very nice even had steak cooked one night, kebabs beautiful and also try the oven baked jacket potatoes with fresh salad bar. staff very friendly especially with children, my little girl loved the mini disco
