great holiday in very good apartment
KENTIA a great apartment overlooking pool -music finished at 10.30 which was ideal although the bar stayed opened for a late night drink.food at restarant attached to apartments service was slow and care when paying as other items added on.trips take care as trip to Antayla involved both gold and leather showrooms be prepared for hard sell donot stop to look as you will be hassled for the following hour.As an ideal place to eat while staying at the Kentia apartments try the Britannia Restaurant which is run by a friendly Tukish speaking English lady which is a great advantage also not far away is Doruks a superb Turkish cake shop ,On the whole a fabulous holiday

Lovely hotel, pool and food. Not amazing location.
We have just arrived back from Kentia apartments in Side. Firstly I was a little surprised when ariving at the airport and finding out that you have to pay £10 in cash for a visa to get through passport control. This was not mentioned to us before hand by Thomas cook and we didn't have any cash so had to pay in euros. Apart form this the reps were lovely taking us to our hotel and chatted to us about the different things to do around side. The hotel was lovely, big rooms and clean. The swimming pool was fresh water and not salt which was nice, there is a slide for children and a separate pool. The main pool is all one depth which is deep enough to swim but swallow enough to stand. All the staff are friendly although do try to push you to book a table for the themed nights. There is music and entertainment nearly everyday by the pool which can be a bit much sometimes but some peoe enjoyed it. The kitchen in the room was basic but good enough to make breakfast and lunch maybe basic dinner like pasta. The shop at the hotel is quite small but is open 24 hours which is good. The main town of side is nice although not very big, lots of imitation clothes and shoe shops as well as restaurants and bars. However It is a 40 minute walk from the hotel but taxis are quite cheap and there is a bus. The beach is also about 30 minute walk but there is a shuttle every day the runs 3 times in the morning and takes you home in the afternoon. The food at the hotel was very cheap although the themed nights were more expensive. We spent between 30 and 70 Turkish leira for an evening meal for 2 people including non alcoholic drinks, this is between £10 and £25. We also went rafting which we booked through our rep when we arrived and this was well worth it and a really good day out. Overall I don't think we would go back to side as there wasnt as much to do as we had hoped. The hotel was lovely and the overall cost of the holiday was very cheap so no complaints really. Good if you just want to relax at the hotel and the weather was really good, even at the beginning of June.

Lovely holiday in Turkey travelling as a couple
We had a memorable holiday in Side on the South coast of Turkey. We stayed at the Kentia appartments, which was clean and served very good food. There was also a spa in the hotel - we had several cheap but excellent massages. It was located a little out the way but buses and taxis were not too expensive to get to the main resort, and there was a free shuttle running a couple of times a day to the beach. We went on several excursions, which overall were good although sometimes they tried to cram too much in at the cost of spending enough time taking in each place. There were lovely bars and restaurants along the beach and harbour, massive market a bus trip away and plenty of historically interesting sites. Overall we had a wonderful time and would love to return one day!

Great family holiday at Kentia apartments, Side, Turkey
We had a fantastic 2 week stay at Kentia apartments.
On our arrival at around 3am in the morning we were welcomed& shown to our room. We did however have to ask for a bottle of water on arrival. As shop was not open till morning. Our apartment was lovely, we stayed in room C8. The maids I could not fault. The pool was cleaned daily, & the staff were great. I did find that the entertainment they put on 3 nights a week repetitive if you were there for 2 weeks. The second week we ventured out more into the centre of side! Found a fantastic little restaurant called antique side, loved it there! Even celebrated my hubby's birthday there with them getting a cake delivered at 10.30 at night! Brilliant staff & made you feel special. Also loved kale beach restaurant, they would pick you up in the morning & take you to their bit of private beach & when you were ready, take you back to your hotel! There was no pressure to buy drink or food either, can't praise them enough, great guys! All in all fabby holiday, great location & will definitely be going back!

Lovely apartments which were cleaned everyday. Plenty of room and cupboard space. Downside no lifts but only two stories to climb. Entertainment a bit low key but we did go on september.
Position of hotel not very good, a good 20 minute walk to the beach which was hard work in hot temperatue.
Side centre is a beautiful array of historical ruins, shops, the marina and very friendly locals. To get here catch the dolmus ( mini bus) which only costs 3TL
Closer to the Kentia are some nice pubs, the Red Lion, The Shamrock and the Flying Horse.
