spent a week at the Sherwood breezes resort on lara beach in turkey, it was fabulous the hotel was very welcoming and clean , the food was lovely I read the reviews before we travelled and if I would have taken notice we would not have booked as reviews suggested same food every day this was not the case there was plenty of choice also plenty of food on offer around the pool areas also lots of extra things like at lunchtime jacket potatoes with assorted fillings and across from there was pizza and chicken lots of salad and vegetarian food aswell they cater for all , plenty of drinks to you could help yourself to bottled water and take on to the beach ! the pool areas were spotless as were the gardens & flowers around them plenty for little children to even though no children with us I saw plenty that was avalible for families . in the afternoon fresh hot waffles and doughnuts were freshly made and the patisserie was open for cakes and icecream so as you can read plenty of choice avalible for all . we did not go to the evening entertainment but read there was plenty on for families we went to the bar for over 16 s only and enjoyed the music there with the joy of no children ! the beach was well kept and private to guests staying at the hotel plenty of sun loungers & parasols which is great as very hot also clean beach towels every day we exchanged them every morning .there was a jetty which we sunbathed on very relaxing to watch what was going on in the sea also could see the fish swimming underneath. all in all a great holiday the only moan if I had to would be that the matteress was very hard all be it a huge bed which is uncommon as normally 2 small singles , the room though was cleaned every day as was the bathroom plenty of storage a free safety deposit box and a fridge which was stocked daily with water , beer and fizzy drinks so all good would definantly return to this hotel for another holiday it was excellent value for money and in my opinion they delivered everything we all need in a holiday . and last but not least the staff were very friendly the tables at meal times were cleaned very prompt occasionally the odd waiter would not smile but over all it was good .

go with confidence
Me and my wife went there three years ago and it was fantastic! Great food, good service, good entertainment, not the best views outside the hotel, but inside you have nothing to complaint about. Very friendly staff!

An excellent hotel and we shall go again.
Our requests for a quiet room, low floor and a pool view were what we were given on arrival at the Sherwood breezes hotel in Lara Beach. The staff were some of the nicest we have come across on our travels many times to Turkey. The grounds were lovely and also the beach was great. They also had a pool just for adults if that was what you wanted. The rooms were clean and tidy and cleaned every day. The meals both breakfast ,lunch and dinner were great with a superb choice of meats vegs cheeses fruits and of course all the usual sweets. Will certainly go back again very soon.

Very nice, very expensive, very hot
Lovely hotel, friendly staff, food quality and choice superb, varying every day and and with so much choice I couldn't try it all on offer despite trying. Excellent pools and private beach but despite notices and a morning raid by management, the usual sunbed reserving at 7am and not occupied until 11am happened daily. We had a nice family room but being located on the 1st floor above the kitchen, we experienced banging and clanging coming through the floor from about 6am as they started cooking the breakfast till about 11pm when they finished washing up and storing the pots and pans / plates from the Dinner service. Worse still our room was above the kitchen loading bay so every 2 days the metal beer kegs were delivered and collected and the noise of these banging on the concreate loading bay woke me many times in the morning. Oh - I forgot - with the 1st floor balcony's sticking out more than the 7 floors above we managed to collect the cigarette dog ends from the smokers above who just throw them over the balcony - dont leave your clothes out to dry. So enjoy the all the hotel has to offer but don't take a room above the kitchen.

Sherwood Breezes is fantantic
Close ur eyes and go...dont worry about anythig else because it is taken care of by Sherwood. The only mild disappointment was the temperature of the heater was too low between the sauna room and and the indoor pool, where towels are kept, making u shiver all the way. apart from that everything was perfect, so cant really complain.
thomas cook make you fill a survey in the plane while returning and I dont believe that the £2000 holiday award is true because i travel so many times with them and never received one nor did all my friends who travel with thomas, they just use it as a way to make u complete the questionnaire.

great holiday just short of fabulous
Great flight times first thing in the morning which was unusual for flying to Turkey. Our holiday got off to a great start. Twenty minutes from the airport and u arrive at your destination.Checked in while the bellboy takes your cases. Was disappointed when shown our room it was very cramped for 2 adults an 18yr old and 15yr old not the room we had expected. Ten minutes in the room we discovered the air conditioning was not working. When we discussed this with reception they were willing to repair the air conditioning however if we were considering an upgraded room we were told it would cost us 500 euro not the response i was expecting they did repair the airconditiong. While talking to other holidaymakers we were told one couple travelling alone were given a family room and another couple were given a sea view room which they hadn't requested which again was the larger family room. Disappointed that we were asked for an extra 500 euros when these people agreed that they didn't require family rooms. Sorry ranting on but we need to let people know as we have been to Turkey many times and have never experienced this at any other hotel. Hotel was very clean the staff were helpfull and very friendly however airconditioning was a nightmare most of the time it didn't work. Excellent choice of food from breakfast to the midnight feast. Doughnut's are amazing must try. Try the Italian restaurant it's amazing our friends went to the Turkish restraunt they were not impressed as the food was the same as the main restaurant. Hotel grounds are fabulous and are always well maintained. Variety of pool areas which are spotless clean and dont worry about sunbeds they are still available at 11am. Entertainment was average it finished at 10pm and then it was the disco which the boys loved as it went onto 230am. All the alcohol was local brands we never saw any international brands as stated in the brochure. Overall we had agreat holiday met some smashing people. I would have given this holiday fab if it hadn't been for the air conditioning and our room but never mind we only used the cramped room for washing sleeping and dressing. The hotels customer relations and reception need to show an interest when people are not satisfied afterall you do want people to return to your hotel.
