Beautiful hotel, excellent facilities!
We were a little apprehensive when we booked this holiday because the hotel was brand new and had only been open for one month. When we arrived we pulled up outside the entrance and the hotel looked amazing! The pools were beautiful and the slide pool was the best we have ever been to at a Turkish resort. We barely saw our kids all day, as they enjoyed the slides so much. The buffet style breakfasts and dinners we great, especially for kids. So much to choose from, and different foods on offer daily. Even the selection at late breakfast and midnight feast were great too. The a la carte restaurants were also lovely. Our favourite lunch venue was the restaurant on the beach, but the kids preferred the ampi bar restaurant, which served chicken, chips, pizza and kebab. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Good holiday but with some reservations.
We returned a week ago from the Alhambra Palace. The hotel itself is huge and all beautifully decorated and the very vast majority of it was beautifully clean. I have seen reviews saying that people struggled to find staff that spoke English but we didn't have a problem. Some spoke more than others but we were always understood. There were also more Brits at the hotel than I expected having read other reviews. We also didn't have any problems with pushy eastern Europeans etc. There were a couple of attempts to push in queues but they were soon sent back. One we saw guest took her own tongs to the buffet in a bid to avoid queuing, very enterprising. Kids apart we had no problems.
The pool is fabulous and never seemed over crowded and a good temperature, at some hotels we have stayed in it has been too cold to use, not the case at the AP. The beach is soft and sandy and the sea was almost warm and shoals of small fish swimming around us. We never struggled to get a sun lounger, having said that though if you went down after 9am you could well struggle to find a place. A lot of people do put towels out, unchecked by the hotel, if you can't beat 'em join 'em I'm afraid.
We enjoyed all the food, there is a huge selection and you could almost eat around the clock if you wish! I have seem some reviews saying that the food was a bit repetitive and yes, some dishes are available everyday, but on the other hand, take a minute to look around ( the main restaurant is huge) and you will find lots of variety. There were at least 3 theme nights in our ten days there. We also took advantage of the Turkish and Mexican a la carte restaurants and thoroughly enjoyed both. The main restaurant is also fabulous if you like people watching, some people certainly load up at the buffet. We had no problems with the service we received, the staff in the main restaurant are very busy, so no time for chatting but generally everyone was fine. I would say though, that if you are a wine lover, go elsewhere and the house wine, particularly the white was awful. It wasn't even salvageable with soda or lemonade. The rose was better, if you want a recommendation the sparkling wine wasn't too bad.
We had a junior suite. It was a good size room but poorly laid out, with lots of wasted space. They could have easily put in a second bedroom instead of the open plan design they currently have. It was nicely decorated and housekeeping did a good job. The toiletries supplied in the bathroom were pretty decent and the shower was nice and powerful. One minor niggle is the lack of rails to put wet towels on, just two small hooks for a family of four, we ended up with some over the door. Our main complaint though was the main bed, it was rock hard and both of us struggled to sleep, not what you want on your holiday. Also, due to the open plan design the air-con struggled to cope at times, a problem in August!
Due to the age of our children we didn't use the kids club but from what we say of them the animation staff did a good job. The evening shows were fun, the comedy show won't be winning any awards but it must be tricky trying to entertain at least five different nationalities.
We had a good time. The hotel is big and can feel a little impersonal at times but for the ten days we were there it was fine. We were put off by the firmness of the beds but really wine apart that is our only real complaint. One tip: due to the size of the hotel, when going down to the pool make sure you have everything you need with you, cos to go back to your room will be quite a hike!

Stayed in the Alhambra last September, like others have mentioned we were a little bit concerned about some of the reviews left for this hotel. All I can say is ignore them.
The hotel is stunning, staff attentive and always had a smile, just my opinion but they treat you as you treat them, it's not exactly difficult to smile and say thank you.
Yes they are a lot of eastern Europeans at this hotel so if they annoy you don't even think about going to this part of Turkey never mind this hotel.
Hotel is great for kids, rooms are large with air con, safe mini bar... Would recommend the Spa, A La Carte restaurants and Bars...
The only bad thing I can say about the holiday is having to travel on Thomas Cook aircraft, at 6Ft 3 its 4.5 hours of torture..

we have just returned after a weeks holiday at this hotel. After reading lots of reviews , we were worried about what we would find. However we need not have worried. From the time we walked into reception to the time we checked out we received the best of service from all the staff. Everyone had a smile on their face and nothing was too much trouble. If you want a hotel where the majority of guests are British then this is not the hotel for you. However do not dismiss this hotel because of it or you would miss out on a superb holiday. We are now looking to book next year because we had such a great time. If i may give some tips, dont bother with Turkish Lire. Everything is priced in Euros and the shops prefer them. to get out and about use the local bus service at the top of the road from the hotel. Its so easy and reasonable. A special mention must go to Dumus at the pool bar. Always smiling and friendly. Thank you for making our holiday extra special. Another menton to the young lady who cleared the tables at the pool bar. always smiling and happy and about to get married. Hope to see you all soon
