Wonderful relaxing holiday in your own little piece of paradise
The Alba Royal is the perfect place for couple's with no children running around getting underfoot.
The staff here go out of there way to do everything they can to keep you happy , nothing is too much trouble any time night or day .
Anything the hotel can't help you with the Thomas Cook Rep is often around and also did all she could to enhance everyone's holiday experience.
The sun shone down on us and the hotel was absoloutly spotless , if I was forced to find any fault it would be that at times the food was a little repetative but there ws plenty to go round and they were only to happy to cater for special requests . No one starved !

One of the best all inclusive holidays I have had. The hotel is very clean with everything there that is needed . the food and service was amazing . Nothing was too much trouble the staff were very friendly without being over zealous. The mini bar and coffee were filled daily and food was very varied and plenty of it. I had lunch a few times at the pool bar and the burgers and pizzas were cooked to order .
Overall a good class of hotel with good food and for an all inclusive holiday there were no limits on drink even the night club was included. I will be back again.

One of the nicest hotels I've ever been in....
Where to start?
We arrived half-way through the first week of the season, and the hotel was nowhere near full.
Plenty of space for the few guests that were there, and staff were full of enthusiasm, and energy. That might change when the hotel is full, and space is limited in the evenings.
Hotel is excellent. Staff are very helpful, and well-trained. Food was excellent, with lots of choice, and catering staff took pride in their work.
Facilities are excellent. Waiting staff go out of their way to be helpful, and nothing is too much bother. Halil from Bulgaria, you're great, and a lovely cheerful man.
Tips are definitely a good way of getting the extra bit of service, if you say thank you near the start of the week... Money talks...
A-la-carte restaurants (Turkish, Fish, and Cuban, one visit to each, per week of stay) were quite authentic, but with high overall food quality in the main restaurant, were only used as a diversion.
Flambé bananas in the Cuban are a spectacle worth visiting, and for a small tip, they will get the flames up the the ceiling...
Animation team are friendly, have plenty of enthusiasm, without being overbearing, and most speak very good English and German. Oscar, get your hair cut. ;-)
Location is great, although there wasn't much going on outside the hotel, with the local area still waking up for the summer, and pre-season maintenance going on all around.
Weather on our week left a bit to be desired, so will do my next visit after March, as we only had 3 reasonably sunny days, and 4 very wet ones. Indoor pool was a bonus on those days, and the spa definitely got lots of use.
Minibar stocked daily, rooms cleaned and tidied, and the upgrade to a superior room with whirlpool bath is definitely a good idea. 50 euros for the week was worth it for the extra room space/size alone.
Beach is soft sand, without pebbles, and when the sun shades go up, it will be perfect for a day by the sea. Accessed by a short path from the pool bar, which is all-inclusive, and saves a trip into the restaurant if you just need a nice lunchtime snack between breakfast and dinner.
This hotel is definitely worth a visit, and the adults-only concept is quite refreshing...
Alba Queen next door allows children, which would be great for a family holiday, with all of the same features, and has water slides into the pool as well.
We saw a few mini zoos in the area, but they weren't open yet, but like like a useful distraction if lounging by the pool gets boring.
Dolmus trip to Side costs 3.50 YTL per person each way, from the road outside the hotel, and is definitely an interesting place to visit, with some interesting archaeological ruins to visit, and kebab shops that show you how authentic Turkish food should be.
Cashpoints are available near the hotel, but take some YTL/Euro with you, as some of the hotels shops don't have card machines.
The spa also didn't accept card payments, and I wasn't too happy going out of the hotel to get cash so that I could have a massage. For those people who want a few sessions (they will try to sell you a package where you go in every day...) it could add up to a reasonably large amount of holiday spending money. Rough prices are about €60 an hour of treatment.
Antalya airport is the low point of the experience, when all you want to do is return home without fuss. Don't go with overweight baggage as they are petty if you are close to your allowance, and be prepared to empty out your carry-on luggage with a queue behind you, so they can see the smaller objects at the bottom of your bag.
Get any shopping you need before you get to the airport, as they only sell the same stuff as down-town, but with a hefty price premium. Disorganised chaos, with disgruntled staff, who don't like foreigners, and do what they can to make your trip home 'memorable'...
I've definitely got my eye on a return visit here, and next trip will be for at least a fortnight, as it's very relaxing, and a week was definitely not enough... Not many places you can say that about...
Enjoy your trip if you go here..
Note for tall people (>5'6") on Thomas Cook planes:
Legroom and seat pitching on the plane is at the absolute minimum, and quite uncomfortable, with the tray table jammed into your stomach, and a brace position with your nose on the seat in front... I could only just jam my fingers between my knees and the seat in front, sitting back as far as I could in the seat, and with no room to put things in the seat pocket. Even EasyJet give you more room than that... Great job, Thomas Cook...

Fantastic, relaxing holiday. Great break from the snow!
We stayed for a week at Alba Royal, at the end of March, and had luxury from the moment we stepped off the coach. Everyone at the hotel was genuinely polite and very helpful. We upgraded to the sea view superior view, which had a Super King size bed. I have stayed in a few 5 star hotels and have to say this is definitely the best one by far.
The first word out of both our mouths was “Woah!” when we saw our room. The room was made up every day by our lovely maid and the mini bar was replenished first thing every morning for free! If you rather stay in your rooms, be aware that there are only two English channels available on the TV.
The food was fantastic, wouldn’t change a thing. There are a variety of a la carte restaurants you can choose from, as well as the main restaurant and bars. There are two bars inside the hotel as well as a beach bar and a pool bar, which serve excellent food throughout the day. Waffles and Crepes every day, what more can you ask for!
The hotel is well placed to visit the main attractions nearby, which can all be reached by a local Dolmus (mini bus) at a charge of around £2 each. All prices are given in Euros, but Turkish Liras and Pound Sterling are readily taken. I suggest you take your money out before you travel, as there aren’t many cash machines around and you get charged an average 6% commission when you take money out from the exchange places.
Overall, a fantastic holiday which I whole heartedly recommend.

This hotel was amazing. When we first arrived we were greeted with drinks & little sweets, the bell boy carried all our suitcases & bags up to the room. The room was quite small, however we were not in there very long so it didn't really bother us. The entertainment day & night was great! There was always things going on throughout the day, we took part in the pool games (which were great & fun) aqua aerobics, water polo & water volley. The animation team really made everybody feel welcome. The food was very good, it had alot of choice & there was always somewhere open to get food throughout the day & night. We arrived very late at 11.00pm local time at Alba Royal, however we were still able to get food. Overall I would definately recomend this hotel, it was amazing, very clean. The maid came in everyday & cleaned out rooms top to bottom spotless!

Too Noisy at night/early mornining at the Alba Royal Turkey - Room 3333 Dept 15/09/12
On averaged only had 4,5 Hrs sleep per night, This was due to very noisy evening entertainment at sister hotels, and then being woken up at 05:30 hrs every morning for two weeks for people to go to worship, add to that very early morning coachs arriving and departing from hotel (one moring there was 5 coaches lined up at the entrance to the Alba Royal) ..
Food good veriety but in genral hot food bordoring on worm to cold.
All Staff very good
Complex kept very cleen
Entertainment WE was expecting more shows than there was. What shows that were put on were entertaining.
I am a asma sufferer and due to the hotel aircon not being top line I ended up with a chest infection.
WOULD I EVER RETIRN TO THE ALBA ROYAL- NO

Side nice place
The beach bar was not on the beach and by the time you walk up to it in 45-50 degrees you are melting. The dispenser on the beach where you get soft drinks is tap water, no one told us. I was ill for 9 days. The food looked nice in the buffet restaurant but tasted awful most of the time. English was not really catered for, however the breakfast was quite good. The entertainment team were brilliant. The hotel was nice but have stayed in nicer 5 star Turkey e.g The titanic.
