the best relaxing holiday ever
As with all things you get what you pay for. This is a clean, friendly run hotel. The staff are not all fluent in english and there were some strange conversations at times, but, as my Turkish is non existant I can't fault them really. The food was good (I went half board) plenty of variety of cooked dishes and the cakes were sublime and the accommodation was above basic - my room was cleaned every day , my towels were changed every other day. The beach area is full of sunbeds & loungers - enough for even the German guests to be happy with (lol). Overall I would recommend this hotel, just remember to leave the bathroom door open when not in use!!!

So quite and relaxing but with Bodrum a short bus ride away
This was our 6th visit to this hotel. It is everything you can want. A very unusual hotel (Not an enclosed building and the restaurant is almost on the private beach. It was very hot this year so the cushions under the eucyliptus trees were very welcome.
We have already booked for next year. !!

Fantastic holiday in a beautiful part of Turkey
This was our second year returning to the Okalyptus Hotel and if I have my own way, we will go there again next summer. I love the hotel, the location, the atmosphere, the friendliness of the locals as well as some of the holiday makers. It is extremely good value for money and the food is excellent, especially if you want to try the local cuisine. Bitez is calm, peaceful with lots of restaurants and bars but also very close to the nightlife of Bodrum if you want a more lively holiday. You can also take the dolmus (local buses) to other parts of the peninsula to visit nearby towns like Gumusluk, Yalikavak, Dedeman, Ortakent and Gumbet. The staff at the hotel were very kind, helpful and very polite. The cleaning ladies were also very, very helpful, polite and understanding. One good thing about the Okalyptus is that you meet lots of visitors from other countries such as russia, Germany, Holland, Italy, Spain, France and turkish. If you want to go somewhere to meet other Brits, then stay in Bodrum. The Okalyptus is an international place and everyone who goes there absolutely love it and many families return again each year. This year we met up with 5 families who we met there last year. I love it and the Okalyptus has spoilt it for me as I don't want to stay anywhere else.

The staff at the hotel were very attentive and helpful and the position of the hotel right on the beach was fantastic. It was the last week of the season so there were very few people around and the food was not the best especially the desserts which seemed to be the same thing each night. The accommodation was excellent. The water sports were great too.

Okaliptus 2nd year and even better
This was our 2nd year at the Okaliptus. Save for the occasionally up and down waiter service the hotel is great. Clean, good loaction, and REALLY good food, especially off the a la carte. Going to go B&B next time as half board buffets can be a little samey. Ignore all the gripes about music and cats - the music is fine and the cats are lovely and keep the insects away. I would recommend this to familes - food and drink not the cheapest but certainly the best and at 2.80 TL to the pound who cares anyway.

relaxing in Bitez
Okaliptus was fabulous! Totally relaxing, perfect location, not many facilities but thats what we liked about it. Pool was lovely, lots of shady places and there were always sunbeds available. Hotel was perfect, rooms cleaned every day, free aircon, safe in the room. Very happy to recommend and would love to return
