Options for Turkey Holidays: Aegean Coast, Lycian Coast and Mediterranean Coast

Bodrum Castle, Turkey

The landscapes in Turkey are as rich and varied as its long history. There are three coastline regions, the Aegean Coast including Bodrum, the Lycian Coast and the Mediterranean Coast, and each are renowned for their excellent beach resorts and absolutely stunning natural beauty. Here you’ll find a superb mixture of lively Turkey resorts, golden sandy beaches, fine shingle beaches (for those that don't like sand!), quiet picture-postcard lagoons overlooked by lush verdant hills, long stretches of coastline, or tiny little beaches that you could almost call your own.

Cheap Holidays in Turkey

Olu Deniz, Turkey

Holidaymakers have been booking cheap holiday deals to Turkey for decades, and yet this is a place that still has the capability of making you feel like you only just discovered it. For while it’s easy to find a great number of Turkey holiday packages and Turkey clubbing holidays to a great number of fantastic beach resorts, this still isn’t a holiday destination that’s regarded as over-developed, and certainly not spoiled by tourism - in fact many of our holiday destinations are in, near, or around designated National Parks, such as that stunning setting in the Olu Deniz area on the Lycian coastline.

Things to See on a Turkey Holiday

Ephesus Temple

As well as such beautiful beach resorts, people love Turkey holidays because of the amazing landscapes you’ll find if you travel even a short distance from the coast. Prepare to be amazed at the gloriously well-preserved ancient sites such as the temple at Ephesus near Kusadasi to the north end of the Aegean Coast, or the Temple Of Apollo just a little further south near Altinkum - these really are breathtaking reminders of former civilisations that are well worth a break from all that sunbathing.

Natural Sights in Turkey

Dalyan, Turkey

As well as man-made wonders, there are also countless sites of natural beauty. Cappadocia is a village far inland that has been built into frankly awesome rock formations that give an other-worldly feel that is as utterly surreal as it is beautiful. Dalyan has world-famous naturally hot mud baths & sulphur springs, and visitors are invited to enjoy the apparently therapeutic benefits of bathing here. Another inland village, Pamukkale, has the most amazing limestone rock pool formations, whose thermal spring waters are also claimed to have super therapeutic properties.
