Travel to this area twice a year. Was able to fly direct from Belfast International up to March of this year but my flight with Thomas Cook was cancelled at short no
tice. As this was a reunion with friends coming from East Midlands and Edinburgh I had to rebook travel from England which incurred extra expense.
We usually stay at the sister hotel "Bel Azure" as they have beautiful bungalows on the beach, but unable to this time as it is being refurbished. The "Sol Azur" was upgraded to All Inclusive just a week before we arrived. This was my first experience of this and I could not believe the quality, quantity of food/local drink available.
There is not much to do in the evening although to be fair it was very late in the season and the entertainment team did their best. The guests were mostly 50+. This hotel has a wonderful location and Hammamet is a short walk away. You can get the "Noddy Train" into Yasmine Hammamet which is modern.

Flights as usual all crammed in with insufficient legroom, hence very stiff when getting off the Thomas Cook(TC) plane. So, first moan, not looking forward to return
journey being transported like a carcass in a confined space. Profit B4 people or what.
Arrived at Les Orangiers to be greeted by people who know how to provide customer service. Friendly, helpful & a free drink while making out paperwork. Check in a bit long winded as is their custom but our special request given at time of booking to TC allegedly not passed on by TC (we wanted a high floor - allocated a ground floor one) Soon resolved when I showed original written booking & request sent to TC back in April 2011.
Room (Hi-Floor) well presented, clean and overlooked orange grove. Great to hear the birds singing dawn & dusk. Excellent maid service, very unobtrusive.
However, stayed here lasy year & the food & service was 5 star, utterly fantastic, and this is what prompted a rebooking. Now, food standard (choice, presentation, style & variation ) while adequate has declined to 3 star. Still good enough, but those who have previously visited would recognise the difference.
It appears the beachside restaurant refurbishment has become more like a posh canteen, but in defence, the waiters service, attitude, hard work & commitment are still 5 star. Well done, they all deserve a raise and we were happy to tip them a dinar at each occassion we could. Hotel gardens fabulous in a controlled but natural way & the garden staff all very friendly.
5 star performance from the animation team, such energy, originality & casual charm is rare in youngsters these days, all very good, we enjoyed the lot, well apart from the snake charmer act.
Endless wine, ample food, planty of sun, glorious gardens, what more could you want, perhaps 3 weeks for the price of 2? - but then more leg room would do me TC

we booked our 1st all inclusive at a lovely place called Les Orangers in Tunisia, 1st impressions of the resort etc were very good clean, friendly, location for beach
great, local area outside the accomodation it appeared sparse, and a liittle unsafe for females to go walking.
Food at the hotel was plentiful but sadly seem to cater mainly for the German residents, a little variety. the al le carte was a little better, but majority of time same same.
Facilites very good, entertainment crew very good, unlimited booze if you can manage it, but after a few days you have had enough!!!
Rooms very good great maid service. Currancy - you can change up at hotel in begining but not on departure, only change at airport as you cannot take there currancy out of the country.
trips - went on what we thought was to learn how to bater at markets etc, but seemed to be guide took us to shops he knew etc, so wouldn't recommend even though only a 1/5 day excursion.
probably wouldn't go to Tunisia again.

Looked at the reviews and they were very impressive - we stayed for 7 nights all inclusive and unfortunately our experience didn't live up to those reviews. Although
our room was lovely- we actually had a beach view and it was cleaned every day. The TV we could only view 2 channels in English and they were both News Channels still we didn't go there to watch television. We found the food was a bit repetative and there was only one night when we had Lobster which was the only night with anything different. We found the same problems as other trip advisors with sunbeds and towels so in the end we did as everyone else did and paid the pool boy to keep our sunbeds each day otherwise you were out of luck. There was a definite lack of parasols and the wooden sunbeds needed replacing as did the mattresses.Be warned keep your towels till the next day otherwise there will be none for you when you go the next morning as people were getting 2 or 3 towels each and as there is no record of what you have they could have had as many as they wanted - some of them were really tatty. At only 5'2" the only shallow end of the pool is 1.5m which is only about 1 m in length otherwise you have to be able to swim-the aquarobics were very limited because of this. Breakfast was the same each morning-and the scrambled egg was soaked in water with nothing to strain off the water. the only bread you got was a french baton or a smaller french baton or thin white square bread for toast .The food on a lunchtime was often better than on an evening. We didn't try the other restaurants as we were not keen on some of the menus. The desserts were similar every evening - cakes with some kind of cream - the same as lunchtime. The salad was very limited-lettuce,tomato,cucumber and red cabbage. The shop wasn't as well stocked as we were made to believe. The evening entertainment was good if you could get a seat - we ended up sitting around the pool most nights. The entertainment team were very good but couldn't say that for the group thay had on one night most peope left halfway through.Went by Taxi to Hammamet where we were so pestered by traders we were pleased to leave - nothing like we were led to believe. Also went to Yasmin Hammamet which was very quiet - not a lot of people about. The rep in the hotel was good but didn't tell us about all the facilities in the Hotel. In my opinion the Hotel needs a good overhaul. On the way back to the airport it started to rain and the rain leaked in through the roof of the bus wetting both us and the tour rep. We were told that at least where the bus dropped us off it was under cover but only when we got there did the rep inform us that the roof was mesh and the rain poured through.
We had had good weather up until then so couldn't complain. Wouldn't go back as I have been to better hotels for a lot less.

Have broken down into sections to cover everything;
Transfer
Approx 40 mins but coach good and comfortable
Local area (Hammamet)
There are a few local shops selling
all the usual touristy stuff, and a very good pharmacy. The area itself is very rundown and looks extremely seedy, the sidewalk areas are very uneven and there is a lot of rubbish laying around, but, we went out in the mornings and the evenings and we felt very safe despite our misgivings. The locals very friendly
Resort
Hotel is superb, very clean and well laid out, staff very welcoming. The is good plenty of shade and lots of space. Unfortunately the pool area seemed to be overrun with Germans and it was very difficult to get a poolside bed, towels out before 7 !!
Room
The room blocks were kept immaculate, the room was serviced everyday, but single creaky beds and no chairs
Food
The eating times were good and the food plentiful although it was like a scrummage at the food bars, the food was very bland and some evenings it was hard to get a decent meal. The problem seemed to be that the restuarant got swamped at the opening times and if you went later there was not a lot left.
Staff
Always courteous, but tipping ALWAYS gave better service, even the gardeners were trying to get tips
Overall
although we enjoyed our holiday it was mainly due to the good weather and the beach, but certainly wouldnt recommend to anyone

Les Orangers is a dated hotel set on a beautiful beach. The staff are friendly and try very hard but there are some points worth mentioning. If you book a superior r
oom with a beach view, they are larger and have a beautiful view but you will need to drag a very heavy chair outside as the ones on the balcony keep tipping over - quite dangerous if you are more mature. The back of the chair at the dressing table was at least six inches taller than me when I sat down making it very difficult to dry my hair. The rest of the room was fine but watch your legs on the wooden surrounds to the beds - my husband ended up with several cuts. The bathroom was cleanish but the shower was impossible to use as it was over the middle of the bath but the screen was only about 2 feet 6 wide and at the end of the bath. Consequently the floor got soaked every time we tried to use it. However the water was hot and plentiful. Air conditioning was good.
The food was a different matter - the same thing nearly every day. Chicken stew, beef strew or fish. There was some cooking on the grill but the 'chefs' used the same implements for the raw and cooked food. I thought I had been quite careful but I was very ill for three days and have just visited the doctor as I am still suffering two weeks later. The Italian restaurant was a section of the beach restaurant which was slightly better than the main restaurant as it had a view. The food was exactly the same. Salad consisted of tomato, lettuce, cucumber, green pepper and red cabbage. I resorted to saving boiled eggs from breakfast, putting them straight into cold water, keeping them in the fridge and then bringing them out for lunch just to vary the monotonous food. The desserts were to die for, varied and delicious. I heard that the new chef had originally been a pastry chef and if this is true, it certainly showed. Some days while I was very ill, I ate nothing and just drank bottled water. I could not leave the room and sat on an uncomfortable chair on the balcony. Thank goodness for the beautiful view.
I welcome the opportunity to write this as I was not given a questionnaire despite being told we would be given one on the way home.

Expected a Thomas Cooke Style holiday to be a little special. Was disappointed. Room had sewarage smell on arrival and after 4 days of Reception complaining, the TC
rep. complained to Manager. New sewer pipes installed from room to outside. Took 2 days. Couldn't use room in day and they left us in smelly surroundings for several days, saying Hotel full. Also note that my "dressing table" area was a shelf and we had no drawers at all. Area around pool was poorly cleaned and getting a clean beach towel was like trying to get gold dust, then found tips to Pool man gave us a chance. Beach Restaurant at lunchtime was lovely, clean and organised. Evening Dining Restaurant was horrendous for first opening hour. Queue for 20 minutes for roast/fried meats in one area then queue 20 minutes in another area for rest of dinner. We were not happy with cold dinner plus queue length. Learnt to go 8.30pm but less choice of food. Asian meal overlooking beach was spoilt by strong sewerage smell. Several people caught a diarrhoea bug, including me. Think meats being kept lukewarm for too long could be problem, plus sewarage smells Entertainment quite good. Some good acts brought in and the Entertainment team were enthusiastic and enjoyable. Most staff were friendly and efficient.

this was my 5th time staying at this hotel. 1st time through thomas cook. i did not feel the rep was as good as previous times. [always with first choice] there was
not the personal touch with rep! the hotel is excellent, clean comfortable, the staff extremely friendly and obliging. food plentiful and excellant.however, the last 6 days of holiday, the hotel became exceptionally busy, us having to que for food which was suddenly not so plentiful!! i requested assistance at the airport, i know this is nothing to do with thomas cook but feel i should bring it to your attention hopefully to save someone else from suffering the way i have and still am. i am a large lady and somehow the wheel chair burnt me very badly on the left buttock, i am still being treated for this wound and am on a 12 day course of anti biotics.........................i have also to mention how lovely the flight attendants were on both outgoing and return journies of my fortnight holiday!

Family of 4 stayed at Les Orangers Beach Aug / Sep 2011.On arrival we were meet by porters who quickly removed luggage from coach and escourted into a nice cool book
ing in area of the reception of the hotel.Booking in was quick and easy,we was then taken to our room once again porters carried the cases. On entering the room we found we had adjoining rooms which was a great bounus as we expected to have one room only. The rooms were very large with great cupboard / wardrobe space large beds ,AC which worked and a good sized bathroom, the room was spotless and cleaned each day with fresh towels everyday.First few days at meal times in the resturant was ok as the holiday went on the hotel got busy and was pretty full, thus causing queing for your meals, not that bad. There was plenty to choose from, you wouldnt go hungry, fussy eaters who complain should have booked a 2 week break in a alacarte resturaunt finding this would have cost alot more than a holiday. No sun or fun.
The waiters were brilliant what ever you asked for they would bring it you,big thanks to Ben Chiken Mr Potato Slim Shady lewis Hamilton and all the rest.
The annimation team were brilliant these people never stoped from ariving at 9.00 am till gone midnite,if they wasnt doing games they were busy rehersing for nite time shows.Big big thanks to Mido Dina Dando Brian Freedy and the rest of the team you were a big part of making our holiday one not to forget we had a brilliant time.
The access to the beach was through the grounds, beatiful clean sand and sea, loads of sunloungers for everybody and plenty of straw hut shelters for people who llike the shade, plenty of motorised water activities aswell but unfortunatley this have to be paid for.
Swiming pool quite large and deep, one end is 8 ft deep going to about 4 ft deep so becareful especially if you have small children.
Overall our holiday was great and we will definatley go back.
We would like to say hello to,
Kirt and Amy our extended familiy,Aiden and Lil and Jamie Debbie Danella and Brittany, metting these people was a great pleasure and made our visit to Tunisia extra specail and fun thanks for a great time.

This was our first visit to Tunisia and our first all-inclusive hotel/resort experience. We were not disappointed with either.
The hotel is superb; all aspects cove
red with spacious, well equipped and maintained rooms and public areas. The beach front location would be hard to beat with well attended sun loungers and a great restaurant right there. The gardens are beautiful and well laid out - when we were there they were a riot of colour and flowers.
We were especially impressed with the catering facilities. There was always a wide selection of well presented food and the service from the kitchen and restaurant staff could not be faulted.
Evening entertainment was varied; some evenings laid on by the very enthusiastic hotel entertainment staff and some evenings with visiting acts. Something for everyone. Throughout the day there are activities laid on for those who want wish to participate.
For those who don't want to spend all the time on the wonderful beach there is a superb pool area with plenty of space to top up the tan.

This was the 6th time we have been to tunisia but this by far was the best hotel and all inclusive we have ever been on, from the minute you step into this hotel the
staff are amazing, welcome drinks were bought over to us we were quickly shown our room which was on the ground floor over looking gardens, facilities in the room were very good, bath robes, slippers and all the toileteries you would need for a holiday, we had a walk round hotel to get our bearings came back and we fetched a drink, that would be the only one we got ourselves all week, can' t say enough about the quality of the food and choice in the restaurant, amazing, and it remained like that all through the week, i resisted the desserts for 4 days but then had to give in and try some of them they were delicious we must recommend all the staff in this hotel from maids to bar staff to restaurant staff to management they were fantastic always making sure that you had a good time was there priority, the gardens were really pretty well looked after, we booked this holiday just to chill out and thats what we did, entertainment staff kept us amused during the day and night but never pushy to get you to join in, and also would like to praise the rep very informative and always had time to have a little chat and make sure you were o.k.we will definitely be going back to this hotel.

After missing the boarding for our TC plane (did not hear calls) we finally arrived at les orangers resort one day late and £400 out of pocket. The hotel is excellen
t with very friendly and oblliging staff across the board. The food is better than many AI hotels I have previously used. The rooms are large with plenty of storage space, we had a ground floor room and unfortunately our view was of a very large tree outside our room, but not a big deal as only slept in the room. The maids were very efficient and helpful, the dining experience good, reception staff great. All in all we had a lovely time here although the weather could have been better, rain for four days!! I would reccomend this hotel to all age groups as the entertainment team work very hard to please. The band on Thursday evenings is well worth a visit, dont miss them.

The hotel in parts does appear a little tired, the hammam for example could do with a spring clean but that's all, the main pool was spotless as were the gardens whi
ch were extensive, We had a lovely room , beds were comfy with spotlessly clean linen cleaned daily, The amenities in the room were of a high standard, I could not fault the rooms at all. The food was of very good quality and plenty of variety at all 3 main sittings again spolessly tidy restaurants.
The massive plus though was the service. From being greeted by the reception manager Mr Sami who looked after the guests immaculately we were treated with utmost taste. The waiters and waitresses were all on the ball, the room service staff were brilliant the bar staff just couldn't do enough for you and whole place was geared to making your stay as special as possible. The animation team worked tirelessly from morning till late at night to keep everyone entertained without being pushy. We just loved every aspect of the staffs dedication.
Overall our holiday exceeded our wildest dreams and I dont say that lightly. Oh a massive thumbs up to the Thomas Club rep Hattan, he was the icing on the cake. Reps sometimes take a bit of a bashing but this man worked tirelessly making sure that any problems if there are any, any questions or comments were answered immediately.
I will just mention Thomas Cook Check in at Birmingham airport at 3am was an utter shambles with queues for several Thomas Cook early departures all over the place, Staff could not clearly identify the correct check in desks and when eventually about 4am the relative desks were put on the departure boards there were people in the wrong queues some who were at the front of a particular queue found they were in the wrong one and had to move to the back of a longer one so there were a lot of very disgruntled passengers, It could have been managed so much better. Secondly the space in the aircraft was just unbelievably small per passenger. I appreciate this was a charter flight but it was way unacceptable almost a health issue the space was so tight. I certainly hadn't enough room to put my table down to eat so had to hold my food box in one hand whilst eating a sausage with the other. It was so bad that we booked at cost exit seats on the return flight. It was a massive shame because the flight is acually part of the holiday and should be seen as so. This review may not change anything but at least you know what you are in for as far as the flight is concerned.

Hammamet, Les Orangers it was our first time in Tunisia. We went in the very beginning of April and the weather was GREAT: 30-33 degrees ( not 24-25 as predicted ) s
o we spent lots of time at the outside swimming pool and on the beach. The water was very cold, so you had to be very brave to have a dip. Servicies at the hotel were very good, friendly staff. The food was very good as well and the accomodation was excellent: extremely large beds and a nice balcony. I realise that it was very beginning of the season, so all entertaining team was trying their best, but I was happy to learn that they had mini disco and kids club which kept our 3years old daughter busy! The inside pool was very handy as the temperature of the water was so much warmer than on the outside one. Overall, good break, lots of sun and relaxation time!

We were very impressed with Les Orangers and wished we had booked for longer.
In a nut shell:
Room - First room we were given did not have a double bed, they were ha
ppy to move us on the second day as on change over day they were too busy, we thought that was fair enough.
Food - very impressive, freshly cooked and I'm fussy about quality so that is saying a lot
Drink - served peach "champagne" by the pool - lovely, the BF liked the beer
Staff - lovely and friendly and very funny/good humoured
Beach - The hotel was in the process of building a beach restaurant. We barely noticed the noise, although if you are looking for things to complain about you could complain about that. We walked quite far along the beach and Les Orangers definitely has the best beach get up.
Pool - great for us, not too busy but the resort was not full. We didnt got to the indoor pool
Clientele - 10% chav, 90% nice people
Entertainment - some people seemed to love it, we did our own thing (played lots of cards in the bar) so can't really comment, if you're looking for wild nightlife it is probably not the place for you
Camels - Leila is lovely
Over all we were very happy indeed, especially considering the price. The place had a really tranquil and relaxed vibe which was lovely

This was our first holiday to Tunisia as we normally go 5* AI to Turkey but thought we would have a change. The hotel was a 4* but the staff and service was more like
5*. The food was very good with plenty of choice, hot and cooked well. Bars and service were good with friendly people. The beech was nice, only complaint was the beech restaurant was being re-furbished but that should be done by now-start of May,which will make it much better if like us you prefer the beech to pool. The only thing we were disapointed with was the room as it said when booking therewas a safe, mini bar stocked daily but there was no safe and just a fridge, however as we only slept and showered there it was ok.If we ever go back would consider a room upgrade to the main buildings.Overall a good holiday and would go again.

TOOK AN EARLY BREAK FOR SOME R AND R AND WITH ALL THE PROBLEMS IN THE COUNTRY PRIOR TO OUR FLIGHT WE FOUND IT. THIS IS A VERY NICE HOTEL. HOTEL WAS VERY BUZY ON ARRI

YOU CAN EAT AND DRINK HERE 24HRS IF THATS WHAT YOU WANT. ENTERTAINMENT LOW KEY,MAYBE THIS WILL CHANGE LATER IN THE SEASON. GARDENS BEAUTIFUL WHERE YOU CAN PICK YOUR OWN ORANGES. ONE THING THAT LETS THE HOTEL DOWN IS THE INDOOR POOL. THIS IS RUN DOWN, DOESNT LOOK VERY CLEAN, SHOWERS AND TOILETS DISGUSTING. THE GYM NEED CONDEMNING, HARDLY ANYTHING WORKED IN THERE AND WHAT DID, DIT NOT LOOK SAFE. BUT OVERALL A LOVELY HOTEL, WHERE THE STAFF ARE FRIENDLY,REPS VERY ATTENTIVE AND INFORMATIVE. When we arrived we were met at the hotel by the porter who took care of our bags and showed us to the reception area where we were seated to complete the check in pr
ocess. The whole check is process was smooth and effortless.
The restaurant is a decent size and we were given a table upon entering which would be our table for the entire week or so we thought. Our waiter was very nice and looked after us well knowing what we wanted to drink each time we went in. There was plenty choice of food and was nice although some days the choice was not as good as others. The food was not always very hot but I suspect this is because the hotel was very quiet and the food was not being replenished very often. The entertainment team are very hard working. Ziko seems to be the ring leader and goes around inviting guests to the evenings entertainment. He is very pleasant and does he best with what he is given. The entertainment is what let the holiday down in a big way for me until the last day that is. The venue used for the entertainment is best described as a dark dingy old working mens club. It was smelly and musty it was small and you could not any of the show unless you managed to get one of the handful of seats that allowed you to see anything. I would like to stress though that the entertainment team work very hard only following instruction from their manager who in my opinion needs to be sacked for thinking that he is providing decent entertainment. On the last day of our Holiday Saturday the hotel very quickly filled up, not with holiday makers but locals as it was a national holiday. The hotel then turned from being a classy decent relaxing hotel into a cheap tacky 1 star budget hotel. We later discovered that the hotel had sold rooms to locals at £30 all inclusive for 24 hours! I don't think I need to say more. The restaurant turned into a free for all. The bar area was full the lounge area was full the pool area was full and in one corner there was a group of local men singing in a big group I could have sworn I was now on a club 18-30 holiday! We turned up for dinner that evening only to discover that the holiday makers who had spent all week eating in the same restaurant had been moved to another restaurant upstairs and all the locals were in the main one. The food choice in our the restaurant we had been moved to was poor and there was much more in the main restaurant. It felt like a makeshift restaurant. I heard someone say it was like segregation she was not wrong.
I advised the hotel how we felt and I was informed that they were struggling for money and that they had to find a way to pay the wages so they allowed locals to come for 24 hours for the public holiday!
. Again we could hardly see a thing!
We then went for a coffee in the bar area it was vile, kids running everywhere and what was once a clean relaxing area was now untidy and very noisy.

What a lovely hotel - very clean, staff couldn't have been more attentive and our room was perfect with a beach view. There was always plenty of food & plenty of cho
ice - you'd have to be a very fussy eater to not find anything you like!
The beach is spotless and lovely soft sand - the hotel grounds were also spotless & very nice.
A trip to the old medina in hammamet is a must - be sure & bring a camera - for about £5 each you can get into the Fort inside the medina - there are gorgeous views here. You will get hassle to buy from the shops but if you're not interested - just walk on by. Haggling is expected and is fun when you gert the hang of it!
Abdul is normally outside the hotel with his horses & carriage, he has been doing these rides for 30 years and has never left Tunisia - apparently because he'd have to take his wife & she nags too much! We had a half hour trip on his carraige & was worth it for the banter! If you see him - say hello from 'Mr Moustache & Boss'!!!
Another must is the welcome tour - it will give you a lot of useful information on the place & visits the old & the new medinas.
We also went to Firguia Park but didnt enjoy that as much - the trip is a long day and a lot of queuing is involved before the meal afterwards.
Would definatly go back again and would have to be at les orangers - it looked like the nicest hotel of them all!

Unfortunately, the weather was cloudy and cold during our week's stay. We would have spent the week on the beach but given the weather, we wanted to explore and also
to experience the hotel's indoor facilities. Tunisia is quite underdeveloped and there wasn't anything to really do within the resort of Hammamet. If you are interested in history then there are some good trips you can choose to go on. Although the range of facilities within the hotel was good, the quality of the facilities were not great - the indoor swimming pool and sauna for example.
Tunisia would be a good place to go for a beach holiday when the weather is hot, but I wouldn't go back outside of the summer months.

I went to Les Orangers in November 2010 with a friend. Overall the holiday was very good. I can not fault the hotel, the staff were fantastic, couldn't do enough for
you. A porter took our luggage to our room and on departure they brought it back to reception. All the staff were polite and pleasant and the service was brill too. I had a problem with travel adapter and the maintenance guy made me a temporary replacement. The hotel itself was very clean, and smelled delicious. There are oil burners everywhere and the attention to detail is wonderful.. I've never had this on an all inclusive holiday before. The beach is literally right outside of one of the sets of rooms and there was even a beach guy who brought the sunbeds (which are free) to you. The only downside in my opinion was the indoor pool area. I think this could do with sprucing up but maybe it was because we went out of season. The rooms are cleaned everyday and are of adequate size and plenty of wardrobe and drawer space.

We stayed at the Bel Azur Thalasso in Hammamet in November 2010. On arrival after a 2hr coach journey the 3* hotel looked fine. Stepping in to the Reception Area, as
non smokers we found it very smokey. After checking in at around 10:30 we fully expected a snack to be waiting for us as we had paid for 7 nights half board and hadn't eaten since the morning. When we asked at Reception they looked at us dumbfounded & suggested we try next door at the 5* Royal Azur, which we did, but again they looked at us as if we were from another planet, but in the end they rustled some sandwiches up for us, which we had to pay for, and which we waited over half an hour for. This really is not good enough when we had already paid for a meal that evening. Our room seemed a little on the small side and had seen better days but it was clean and quiet (or so it seemed). We put this behind us until the next morning when we were awoken by the sound of a power drill ! we stepped out on to the balcony & to our horror saw that they were demolishing the rooms to our right. This building work went on for the whole week during which time no one wanted to sunbathe or use the pool as it was so noisy and dusty in that area. We mentioned this to our Rep. but she said that there was nothing she could do about it. My husband and I had gone away for a weeks sunshine and relaxation, but we couldn't even sit on our balcony for the noise . What are Thomas Cook doing sending holidaymakers to the hotel Bel Azur when this demolition work is being done, it is totally unacceptable and I would certainly think twice about travelling with Thomas Cook again.

Travelled with my sister amidst mixed reviews of Tunisia. We found the service at this hotel to be fantastic. The staff couldn't do enough for you and everywhere was
spotless. Food is lovely with plenty of choice. The private beach is excellent and we were hardly hassled when out and about. The resort of Hammamet is okay. If you're used to Spain or Greece and like more commercialized resorts, you may be better staying in Yasmin Hammamet.

Lovely hotel complex set in extensive grounds adjacent to beach. Good walks along the beach to the town of Hammamet, about 40mins, great in the late afternoon sunshi
ne to catch the sunset over the old town and fortifications.
Food was good and there was plenty of variety in the differnt restaurants.
On my wife's birthday the hotel deivered a cake to our room, which was a nice touch. This was just one example of how helpful and friendly the staff were.
Would recommend a stay

The holiday was very good from start to finish., although customs and passport control in Monastir were both slow and at three in the morning with hot and humid cond
itions, this was the only drawback. Our Thomas Cook rep was cheerful and helpful. It took about 1 1/2 hrs to the hotel.I had a supirior room, which was very comfortable. The only thing for me, was that I have slight mobility problems and the walk to my room was a little far as it was not in the main building, but was worth it. The balcony looked straight onto the beach some 50 yds away. The large bed was comfortable. Bathrobes and slippers were provided, as were all towels and beach towels were provided by the pool. This is a bonus when it comes to baggage allowance. The food was very good with a vast variety and several places to eat. Staff were most helpful and cheerful. The evening entertainment was most enjoyable (something for everyone). As I had been to the area before and seen the sights, my mobility being what it is, I did not take any trips. There was so much going on in the seaort that I still had a most enjoyable holiday. I would recomend this for faimilies as there is a lot to see and do, both for children and adults alike.

The weather was disappointing but we were lucky it did not spoil our excursions. Les Orangers staff were again at there best keeping our glasses filled and procvidin
g friendly service. There was a good selection of food but it helps to like Chicken, fish, salad and chips. The cakes and pastries were the best we have had anywhere so put on half a stone. Entertainment was a bit naf but the staff worked had and got the hotel guests to put on ood shows. Great for older guests but younger peoples would probably prefer a hotel in Yasmin Hammet which is much livelier.

The fact that we lost most of our money on the flight to Monastir we had a brilliant holiday.
OK we were unable to go on any trips but thankfully Les Orangers provid
es a truly all inclusive package so we decided we would make the most of the facilities and have a truly relaxing holiday.
The service we received from the staff was second to none. I have read reports that they can be surly but we found the opposite, they were happy to engage with you and chat - in fact on some occasions when I forgot to say good morning I was prompted to do so by a cheery 'Bonjour'. We spent a total of £28 in tips over the week and gave little bits often rather than one big lump at the beginning or end of the holiday.
The food was excellent on all occasions and my particular favourite was lunch time at the beach restaurant.
Room was fine and cleaned everyday by another very smiley maid.
If I had one criticism it is of the holidaymakers - not the resort. Why is it that people who smoke feel there cigarette ends clean themselves up? The beach at Les Orangers is beautiful except for the number of dog ends that you will find in the magnificent white sand.
But, having said that, it wouldn't stop me going back there again and enjoying another great week in the sun.

This resort is lovely. We couldn't fault one thing really apart from the weather ! Unfortunately we had some rain and cloud, but there were still places to go around
the resort for shelter!
Everything from start to finish with Thomas cook was well organised. The flights were on time which is always a bonus.
This resort is ideal for everyone. We were so impressed with everything there isn't enough room to write about it all. Staff were so friendly and attentive. The food and drink was lovely and we were so impressed by the three al la carte restaurants on offer. Make sure you book in the day before for these restaurants as they do get full, but the main restaurant was always available with a really good selection. There is also a snack bar if you are lounging by the pool that have paninis, chips, pizzas. The pool provide sun matresses on the sunbeds and towels which was a nice touch. We were amazed that we didn't have to get up really early to get a sunbed in the mornings. I would recommend the African night at the Safari Park. Very reasonably priced. All in all a super holiday and would definately return to this resort.

This was our second visit to Les Orangers and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there again.
We had no problems whatsoever. The reception area had been refurbished sinc

Unfortunately we are unable to go back next year BUT we will return.

We arrived on 22 sept to be greeted with "We are sorry but your rooms wont be available until Friday"
Good start we thought as there had been several warnings on the
website about overbooking. However much to our surprise we were upgraded to a beach bungalow which we eventually kept for the whole holiday,Complete wth room service and other extras.
The hotel is situated right on the beach and the staff were very friendly always on hand for sunbeds etc and to keep the local hawkers from bothering us.Lovely white sand and blue sea although for several days very rough with breakers like Newquay Cornwall which was a big surprise along with the amount of rain we had the first week. Not much to do then apart from eat and drink and we did begin to wonder if we had made the right choice of destination.
The hotel is in the older part of Hammamet not to be confused with Yasmin Hammamet which is purpose built and rather characterless but does have more up market shopsMost of these are fixed price so no chance of bargaining.
Some parts of hotel are beginning to show signs of wear and tear but everywhere is kept spotlessly clean and tidy including the gardens which must be an absolute picture in the Spring. The dining room always had a Good choice so I would
defy anyone not to be able to have a good meal.Waitrs all very friendly

My husband and i have just returned from Les orangers and what a fantastic time we had.
The hotel i couldn't fault (only the receptionist) who seemed a bit dour. The
rest of the staff were excellent and food brilliant. Our room was cleaned every day and the maid leaves your bed with lovely shapes on it. This is the best all inclusive we have been on and we are well travelled, bottled water on request, bottles of wine with dinner and even fresh orange juice, if you want fizzy then just ask. They way they present desserts is beautiful, all decorated eg shape of a train and you felt guilty cutting it. No coffe facilities in room though so if you like your morning cuppa before breakfast and dont want to move from bed or balcony, then take travel kettle. Entertainment team worked their butt off with wall to wall daytime activities to evening entertainment and i salute them as you can't please everyone. We very seldom go back to the same place twice but will definately be returning here. Wasn't to keen on the medina in hammamet but really liked the one in Yasmine, less pushy and taxies are cheap, just make sure the meter is on and if not ask. Hammamet £1.00 = 2 dinar. Yasmine £2.50 = 5 dinar. Beach is gorgeous with shades sunbeds and cushions supplied free and collect towels from poolside before you go, again free. Cocktails served by the poolside approx 5.00pm and they are lovely. Weather beautiful and we came back fat, rested and well tanned.

We booked this holiday as we just wanted to lie on the beach for a week and relax and that is what we did. The transfer from the airport was not as long as we were t
old but that may have been because the traffic was quiet as it was Ramadan time. We arrived at the Hotel about 12 midday and after filling in our arrival paperwork were left sitting in the reception area, unsure what to do next. Top tip, once you have filled in the paperwork do not expect the reception staff to come and collect it from you, give it back to them or you may have a long wait...We were eventually taken to our room at about 1pm. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. No balcony/terrace. In fact the window that we did have was the size of portable TV. The bathroom was also a disappointment and not just because of the drain smell. It was a cubicle, the shower screen did not close properly and the tray did not drain, as a result the floor flooded. On the upside, when we went back up to reception to complain they assured us that a new and improved room would be available to us the next morning and it was. It was so much better, a balcony and a sea view and a shower that did not flood. The tour rep did a great job of explaining the hotel facilities, although the high recommendation for the speciality restaurants was a bit of an over statement. The fact that you have to book a day in advance as well as choose your food made it feel more like a chore. The food was very poor, in fact the food in the main buffet was of a much better standard. We tried the Asiatic and the Italian before deciding not to bother with the Tunisian.
The pool was nice but it was a trek to the shower, which seemed to be hidden and not used that much by anyone. The beach was ok, there were more than enough beds and lots of shade for those who do not wish to top up their tans. As for the entertainment staff I cannot praise them enough, they are always on the go and their language skills really did put us to shame. English, German, French and Arabic all flow easily from their tongues. Most impressive. They also put on above average entertainment in the evening so a definite gold star for them and their efforts. The restaurant bar staff were also very good, same language skills and would endeavour to keep you happy to enhance the probability of receiving a tip. Not that they hover expectantly, they are very discreet and deserving of tips as their abillity to remember multiple orders is enviable. Ben Chicken was always cheerful and very attentive.
We cant really tell you about the rest of the resort as we did not do any exploring. We really did just relax by the beach for the week. There are lots of excursions available for those who do want to go exploring and if I was to go back the Sahara experience would definitely be on the list as it sounds fabulous. As are the Gin and Tonics that Ben Chicken provides on a regular basis...

This was our second visit to Les Orangers Beach Resort and our 6th time in Tunisia.
The hotel has been refurbished since 2009 very bright and modern when going into
reception.
The food is excellent you would never be saying there was nothing for me to eat. What i would say is the cuisine is of French style as Tunisia was a french colony many years ago. But if you have a sweet tooth the deserts are brilliant.
Some people have said you can't go out and about but this is not so we have not had any problems walking the streets the locals are very freindly, They do ask you to go into there shop to look around but if you say no thanks they will just leave you be and all you have to say may be come back later.
The only thing i would complain about the hotel is the some of the reception staff arenot very polite and helpfull.
As for the bar staff and pool staff they are great they can not do enough for you.
The Gym and indoor pool needs a revamp alot of the equipment is broken and does need renewed, .
And the beach is clean also and plenty sun loungers.
We enjoyed it that much and cannot find another alilnclusive hotel in Tunisia at the price we pay that we are returning next year. Stiil so much to see and do.

We stayed all inclusive for the first time this summer and chose Les Orangers in Hammamet. We chose a hotel with a large French and smaller English clientele as we th
ought the food would be good, and this proved correct.
I still have reservations about All Inclusive as it does not benefit the local community as much as other holidays can, but we did enjoy the luxury of not always thinking about cost.Recent holidays in Italy and Greece which seemed good value at booking were spoilt by having to spend really large sums on even modest eating out , and feeling ripped off.Les Orangers provided excellent and generous dining facilities with very good service. The a la carte restaurants were not necesssarily authentic in their Italian and Asian cuisine, but still enjoyable and provided good food. The drinks were great and the local wine really lovely.
As sometime independent travellers we soon found the need to leave the hotel complex, and we found by hiring a car we could experience a little bit of indpendence. It was also much cheaper for 4 people than taking the coach trips.Driving to EL Djem and Carthage was interesting , and the motorways identical to French ones. Avis - just down the road from the hotel-provided a good vehicle. This independence also enabled us to visit the EL Djem Museum, whose mosaics are some of the best in North Africa, which coach parties seem to miss.
We also really liked the jet skiing and quad biking which we booked through Les Orangers. I would recommend this holiday to anyone wanting an easy and relaxing beach holiday with no worries

The cakes were fabulous therefore don't go there if you want to watch your weight. We were all inclusive and we could eat 24 hrs a day and the waiters were very quick serving you the drinks.
You do get a bit of hassle while shopping in Medina but it did not bother me as I firmly said no not interested. I felt safe walking about Yasmin Hammemet and overall my friend and I had an excellent holiday.

My partner and i had booked an all inclusive holiday with Thomas Cook for Les Orangers Resort in Hamamet, Tunisia.
I had planned to propose on the flight over and re
served seats and champagne at the time of booking. i waited until we got on to the plane and spoke with the crew, who were fabulous, they allowed me to use the tannoy sysytem to make the proposal and they even upgraded us to premuim class, it went down very well and all the pasengers and crew were great.
The resort itself was also fabulous, very clean and the staff were great. The all inclusive package certainly was as there was food available 24hrs a day!! The staff were very accomodating and brought drinks to you all the time.
The hotel had it's own beach, which was fantastic. The food was very good although after 10 days it did start to become repetitive, but never the less it was always of good quality.
We did venture out of the resort a few times but found the town of Hamemet to be too much hassle to walk around as the market holders do pester you alot.
overall, we had a very memorable stay and would definately return. We are now getting married in 2012!!!

This holiday was such great value for money, I would recommend it to friends and family. The food, pools, environment, enteratainment and beach were fantastic. The e
ntertainment team put on a great show every evening from belly dancing and fire eating to Lion King the musical.
On our first evening we got upgraded to a suite overlooking the beach which was beautiful, when we eventually got to our room that we were to stay in for the rest of the week it was just as lovely, but without the living room space. Our room looked out over orange and lemon trees and was of a very high quality. The only thing that we would fault is the bedding, the matress and pillows were very hard.
The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful despite us being there for the first week of Ramadan. The hotel actually served food 24 hours a day from the pool snack bar where you could get cheeseburgers, chips or panninis. There are a few restaurants spread out over the hotel, our favourite was the pizza/pasta restaurant on the beach. In this restaurant they made pizzas in front of you to request. The wine wasn't to my taste at the hotel, but champagne is served as part of all inclusive, this was very light and fruity and what I stuck with for the rest of the week, my partner enjoyed the beer.
We didn't go out much while we were there for the week as we were quite happy spending our time in the pools and on the beach. However when we did go out the taxi rides were quite scary and didn't have seat belts, and shop owners will grab you as you walk by and place jewellery on you. You have to be quite firm when you say 'no thankyou'. However if you are planning to buy some souvenir's there are some small shops just outside the hotel and even one on site that sells beautiful pots and jewellery at quite good prices. We spent no more then £80 during out whole holiday, and that included excursions.
We went for a week, but would of liked to stay for 10 nights. Two weeks might have been too long.

Me and my girlfriend, both in our mid 20's went to Tunisia at the start of JUly 2010 for a week. We stayed at the Sol Azur Beach hotel and had a brilliant holiday. T
he hotel was brilliant, really clean, staff were very friendly and approachable and could not do enough for us. The facilities were also really good with a big swimming pool, snack/drinks bar and you are literally a ten second walk from the beach. On the beach the sun loungers/umbrellas were free of charge for hotel guests. The beach was also really nice and felt very private. The beach was not even very busy apart from on the weekend part of our holiday but even then it was fine and not overrun with people. There is a selection of watersports on the beach and at very good prices, approx £7.50 each for a watersport activity.
In relation to the hotel food/drink, I will start with the food. We were half board and to be honest were expecting it to be terrible, we were pleasently surpirised. There was one night were we were not keen but apart from that everything was really good. There was a wide selection of food avaliable and even some food cooked fresh in front of you as well as the buffet. There was lasagne, lamb/beef stew dishes, turkey potatoes, chips and also a good range of more local food. There was also fresh omelletes made some nights. Overall I was delighted with the food, breakfast was also very good and fresh omelletes/pancakes served at breakfast.
The drink was not as good as II have had elsewhere but then again this detsintaion is not really for a 'drinking holiday'. The beer was good but my girlfriend struggled to get the likes of Baileys/malibu and was restricted to vodka and other spirits. Generally though not to bad.
Overall I would rate the Sol Azur as excellent. The only negative thing about Hammanett is how quiet it is but on the other hand if you want a loud/drinking holiday I am sure you would not book Tunisia anyway, I would definitely go again. We both loved it!!!!

Also breakfast in the morning was a bit of a nightmare to find a table, not enough tables for the size of the hotel but food was very good & there was always something for everyone, even the fussy eaters. Rooms were nice but a little tired, time to be updated & a lick of paint required. Our room maid was first class, clean towels every day & our bed was changed every second day. I had read a number of reviews prior to our holiday and I was thinking to myself 'what have we let ourselves in for' you read so many that said the food was awful th
e evening entertainment was rubbish. Well all I can say is do they expect Al La Carte every evening, there was plenty of selection and variety, ok you may struggle if you don't like fish, beef, pork or chicken, but then theres pleanty of salad, bread, soup, and loads of desserts, even our 15 your old daughter who is a fussy eater managed to eat well whilst on holiday, not something we have managed on previous holidays.
The location for an All Inclusive holiday was fantastic, right on the beach, we even went for a walk along the beach one night, take a warm jumper/cardi as the evenings got very cold. We spent our first week on the beach not realising that activities were being organised from the pool area, on the second week we stayed by the pool, oh what fun we had, Archery, Darts, Golf, Water Polo and other silly water games, the kids loved it.
The evening entertainment, two night our of 14 were not good Tunisian drumming and dancing, if you like this sort of thing ok but it got a bit boring. Other nights the animation team acted out the Titanic movie with hillarius stint, also do little mimes, these were good as all the audiance understood at the same time as there was no language barrier. As for the Cazy Show, we thought this might be rubbish, how wrong could we have been, animation team do take off of Pop Stars, Tina Turner, Queen, Greese, Riverdance, but they put there own slant on things, we ended up crying with laughter at the end of the evening, I don't think I will every forget

Absolutely everything was included! Even did a load of washing in the self-service laundrette with machines, washing powder and fabric conditioner all provided. Bott
les of water always available. Wine provided by the half bottle - not the greatest but very drinkable. Beer good and coffee great. Food very plentiful if some slightly strange combinations at times but better than in a lot of foreign hotels. Service (apart from reception where staff were less helpful) extremely good. Staff pleasant and helpful - did not feel pressurised into giving tips but mostly did as such an excellent level of service was provided. Had only booked a standard room so no great expectations but was pleasantly surprised as big balcony and could just see the sea. Free fridge provided which was a very nice touch. No hairdryer provided so glad I had seen previous reviews and taken one. Did not see a great deal of the entertainment but on the Thursday of our stay a really good rock group performed - they were very impressive. Hotel grounds and beach lovely but area outside of hotel gates not so good. Was convenient for little train which did a good round trip taking in old Hammamet and Yasmine Hammamet - lasting around 1 hr 40 mins. Did not find Hammamet a comfortable place - hard to get out of the Medina once you had entered and constantly hassled by shop-keepers/stallholders. The exception to this were a couple of shops just outside the hotel were staff had cottoned on to the idea that the British usually like to browse in peace before buying. Thomas Cook rep was very knowledgeable and even provided a sheet giving useful Arabic words and phrases. We enjoyed a trip to Berber villages and to see Nomads living under canvass which was a real eye-opener. Worst thing were the mosquitos. Repellants and ointments we had taken just did not seem to work and we are still suffering a bit a week after our return. Tunisia would definitely not rate as one of our favourite holiday destinations but would definitely recommend Les Orangers as a holiday complex.

I had a wonderful holiday in Les Oranges hotel in Tunsia. There was food and drink available from 6.30 a.m. in morning to 12 midnight. The food choices were unbeliev
able. I have never eaten so much in all my life. How would I describe the desserts that were available, all I can say is they were master pieces, out of this world. As a pastry cook I would love to have a few weeks work experience in the hotel kitchen to so how they were made. Nearly sampled all of the the desserts available, about a dozen different ones each day.
Ice cream available all day, and the chefs made pizza's and pinanies to order.
There was a beautiful sandy safe beach just down at the botttom of the garden.
Could not have found a fault at all in the hotel. It was just wonderful. Hope to go back to this hotel again. Going full board was worth every penny.

The Orangers was an ok hotel, it was mainly french and German's, im thinking they should not have offered this hotel to British??
It has been partly re-furbished, an
d done well, the other half is in need of it. Location is good if you like the beach.
Food good, drink was ok for me but my husband couldnt touch it.........
If you are looking a going there and you return flight is late then there is no courtesy room....when i asked for a room or somewhere to change,(our flight was 3am, out of room for 12pm) i was told no...... and her answer to getting washed was the POOL,,, it put a bad end to a good hoilday..
We didnt venture out as we didnt feel safe,,, no reason for out feeling, i think it was because the pubs and shops were so qiuiet and got pestered all the time to go into there shops.. we had an ok hoilday and would maybe go back to tunisia but the orangers..........

Excellent hotel with plently of activites for grown ups and children or if you want to relax and sunbath then the pool is a lovely location aswell as the beach. Also
has indoor pool and fitness room, free laundrette with free washing powder and comfort, turkish bath and sauna which we did not use, free massage, disappointed that if only lasted literally 5 minutes. The hotel is right on the beach, emaculatly clean, great friendly staff. You may find yourself tipping waiters/barstaff 2 dinars or so every now and again, which works out as just under £1 and the really do appreciate it. At the same time you never once feel like you have to do anything at this hotel. The safety deposit box is reasonable price. All water and ice cream is included, which is not the case at some hotels. the transfer from the airport is about 1 hour 15 minutes. All thomas Cook staff were great and regularly at the hotel for any questions, useful welcome meeting which is good idea to attend. Our room was a standard room, very happy with the cleanliness and the maid. lovely balcony, good size bathroom with bath/shower, two very large beds. Can not fault anything. Food was good, you can get something from somewhere 6am till midnight. Flight is only 3 hours and thomas cook cabin crew are lovely. Its nice to have the aisle seat if you have long legs! We never waste our money on in-flight meals.
Would recommend Les Orangers Beach Resort and Bungalows to all friends and family.
We plan to return this year, can't wait!!

Went to les oranges hotel on the 05/05/10 for a weeks holiday with my partner, both in our early 40's, i can honestly say a week is long enough due to the entertainme
nt in the evening. The shows they put on are not that good but with the little amount of money the people have over there it is understandable. The hotel itself is faultless, very clean and food was plentiful. Staff are lovely especially Anis who works in one of the bars. This resort has a lovely beach, all sandy and very clean plus you do not get hasselled by the tunisian sellers. If you are thinking to book here i would highly recommend an upgrade of your room to seaview as they are fantastic. There is not alot outside this hotel ,so i recommend that you get a taxi into yasmin hammamet to their marina, it is beautiful and it only costs £5 return in there taxi's. If you are thinking to book this time next year, please take a coat or jumper as it gets very chilly at night. The all inclusive drinks do not stop until 2.00am which i was very suprized at as many other hotels stop at 11.00pm. The local beer is nice and refreshing and they also give you champayne (a very nice sparkling wine). Overall it is a place to go for relaxation and nothing else. Would i go back again, no, but would try a hotel in yasmin hammamet.
P.s no tummy upsets while we were there !!

the only complaint that I have about the hotel was that there were no handrails on any of the stairs which made it difficult for the elderly & the less moblie. Apart
from that everything was fine. The beach was gorgeous and the swimming pool was always very clean . There was plenty of choice at mealtimes & food was always available somewhere in the complex from 7am till 12am. I would certainly go back to this hotel

The holiday was great the people in the hotel were very helpful and coulld not do enough for us.
The only down side was the flight home when we felt abondon by Thoma
s Cook staff both at the airport in Tunisia but more so when the flight was transfered to Manchester and nobody wanted to take control of a plane load of passengers to get back to Gatwick. I know it was 2.00am but we had been travelling by this time 10 hours. In the end we had to pay £10.00 each to get a coach back.

From beginning to end this holiday was fabulous. As soon as we were shown to our room 2 small double beds, large french doors opening onto a large balcony overlookin
g the garden, bathroom had a basket of assorted toiletries 2 big white fluffy dressing-gowns and slippers. The food was out of this world so much to choose from, we had lunch at the beach resturant everyday, and in the evening ate in the main resturant. All the staff were great nothing to much trouble. If you won the lottery you would find nowhere better to stay. Hubby said when can we come again and he`s not easy to please believe me. The hotel is on the beach midway between hammamet and yasmin hammermet, it is an hours walk along the beach into either. The flights were all on time and everything ran very smoothly, well done Thomas Cook.

Spent 2 weeks in September at the Sol Azur hotel on the outskirts of Hammamet. Couldn't fault the place. Rooms were very comfortable. The bath is a bit high off the
floor so some people might find it difficult. The staff were first class and very helpful. Rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels. Don't drink the water- it is high in chlorine. Food is first class but remember it is cooked Tunisian style- i.e. fish may be cooked as is - c/w head, eyes and skin. Pastries, sauces, fruit and vegetables are very tasty. The breakfast restaurant and dinner restaurant are on different floors (both buffet style). Pool area is very nice, sunbed mattresses are free of charge and a short walk through the gardens takes you to the beach. A 30 min walk will take you to Hammamet centre. Turn left outside the hotel. (Keep the cemetery to your right). Taxis are everywhere - a few dinars will take you into Hammamet. A few shops within a quarter of a mile. Turn right outside the hotel.
Haggling in the medina can be a bit intimidating, you are not really given a chance to browse around. Just say 'No' firmly if you don't want anything. If you do see something you want cut the quoted price by at least 3/4 and start from there. A few fixed price shops if you don't fancy haggling. Plenty of cafes outside the medina for tea, coffee, fruit juice etc.
Thomas Cook rep (Stacey) - a very helpful young lady, always on time and very pleasant to speak to.
All in all an excellent holiday. Very good value for money.

We went to this Les Orangers in August this year. It was fantastic and the best holiday we have had since having children. Our children are aged 8 and 4, we stayed i
n a family room which had two rooms one with 2 single beds and the other room had a double bed. I loved the fact that the childrens room did not have patio doors and you could only access it from our bedroom. Our bedroom had patio doors leading onto a balcony which over looked a garden. There are 5 different places to eat and a pool bar which serves pannini's and pizza during the day. There beach resturant serves Pizza and fresh fish, salade, fruit, pasta. This hotel is the best all inclusive you could go to it is full waiter service all the time, even as you sit by the pool, you never have to que at the bar. If you want a bottle of wine with your meal that is fine. The evening meals are out of this world, we even had lobster one night. The puddings are amazing. IF the children want ice cream they can go and help themselves whenever they want to. There is entertainment all day, you can join in or keep your self to your self it is up to you. The staff are really good and will do anything to make your stay special. We needed a doctor while we were there and the reception called them for us and they were at our room within 1/2 hour. We can't wait to go back next year.

Me and my girlfriend wanted a reasonably priced good quality all inclusive holiday and thats what we got. We couldnt fault this holiday at all and even got engaged w
hile we were there. 3 hour flights and arrived early both ways. flight times were good. Breakfast was good, Almost every day we had lunch at the beach restraunt which was nice and quiet with ice cold beer. 3 al acarte restraunts, tunisia, italian and asian. Two of these restraunts are on the beech. all with excellent service. You have to book these restraunts but you can go as many times as you like. Also there is a pizza/panni shop that do great food until 11pm so we were never hungry Bars open till midnight and waiter service too around the pool and on an evening. The waiters never forget your order and you can order as many drinks as you like. If you orderd wine you got a half bottle every time. Then on to the night club (disco). Free to get in and free drinks till 2am (very rare for an all inclusive) Even if you dont like loud music you can go in for your drinks and then sit outside. The entertainment was excellent compared with most hotels weve been to and was differnt every night. Beach is nice with watersports. The room was small but clean and you got a bathrobe and slippers each. you also had a mini fridge. Free bottled water is available at all the bars Taxis are cheap for getting around. Yasmine Hamment Marina is very nice and we had the best fillet steak ever at a restraunt there which is a boat. There is a small theame park called carthage land. which is cheap and has a few rides. It isnt alton towers but its a good change from sunbathing for a couple of hours. Next door is the new medina which is full of shops where everyone wants to haggle and a few bar cafes in a square. while we sat there a man arrived with a box full of reptiles and did snake charming. After telling my mother about this holiday she booked and went in october she also had agreat time. To top it all its outside of the euro so everything is cheap and we hardly spent any money compared with what we usually spend when on holiday.
