The Anthoussa was ok, but I was disappointed to be honest. I had booked the 2 bed family room, which was very small (thank god I had booked the 2 bed room or else it
would have been intolerable). I was told there was a separate lounge room but it was a three foot space in front of the patio doors in the bedroom with a small table and 2 chairs. There was enough space in each bedroom for either a pushchair or cot bed, with enough room left to walk around the beds. No natural light in the bathroom or 2nd bedroom. There were four drawers, two of which were bedside drawers, which is no way anywhere near sufficient for a family of four. Two cupboards, with 12 hangers between them. All our clothes and belongings had to be stacked at the bottom of the cupboard which was a nightmare. The hotel generally was modern, lovely large glass windows and doors, the views were spectacular and the cleanliness was fairly good. The childrens playarea was tatty, paint peeling on slides etc, weeds around the edges, rusty swing, and was covered in black foam type tiles (except where they had fallen off and not been put back on again), which stained your feet and were boiling in the sun. The mini club was a garden shed with no lighting or heating (necessary on bad weather days). Forget the gym/spa/inside pool. They were not in action plus it cost 20 euros per person for 4 hours, so for a family of 4 it would have cost 80 euros for 4 hours. Children not allowed in the indoor pool anyhow. Nothing to do if the weather is bad. Entertainment Team have Sundays off. The music blares out around the pool all day Mon-Sat. The management were not interested if you had any issues and did nothing to try to help resolve issues. La Luna Restaurant is facing the road and children under 4 not allowed in. Cafedelmar gourmet restaurant did not exist. Selection of Mediterranean Greek dishes (19:00-24:00) in La Luna restaurant did not exist. Drinks - only wine/beer/soft drinks/coffee were available in the Le Cafe Soleil (by the pool) so if you want anything else you have to go up to the main bar. Safe cost 30 euros for two weeks (very expensive). Everything else costs extra and they do their utmost to prise more money out of you, including special greek nights, special fish nights (both very expensive), T-shirt painting for the kids (10 euros), raffle tickets etc etc. Food was adequate, staff generally quite friendly. Beach towels are changed twice a week! When I first arrived and got in the room, and looked at the childrens play area, I was nearly in tears and wanted to go elsewhere. As I said, ok but definitely would not go back. Crete itself was lovely.

Just come back from the anthoussa (mum and 25 year old daughter) and all i can say was that it was fab. It is smack bang in the middle of stalis, ideal for a little
retail therapy after dinner. Food was more than plentiful and the service was A1. Pool area's were spotless as were all eating area's. staff were really friendly and helpful but not overbearing. the hotel was right on a lovely clean sandy beach, with plenty of sunbeds (although if you require the ones right at the front as the sand does get quite hot you need to get up early!!!) the only reason i have marked it down slightly is because there was no hospitality trays in the rooms as i like a very early morning coffee, but that could easily be rectified by the hotel, also the mini fridge was filled up with water and fizzy drinks (cans) i would of preferred juice and water. we had a total chill out and relaxing week and would go back anytime.

we always travel with TC and trust their write ups however if this had been our 1st time with them we wouldn't have booked again.
We traveled as a party of 4 ranging
from 30-60 and overall we all found the same problems.
The food is not 4* meat often undercooked and raw, spagetti bolognese served everyday that was sour.
The snacks available were poor generally pizza which they only cook one at a time so it always runs out as the sandwiches which are left out on the side alday and the left over croissants from breakfast are the only alternatives.
Getting drinks at night is an issue as they only have one bar open for all guests and they don't like you to approach the bar a waiter takes your order and brings them over which seems a nice touch until 15 minutes later you are still waiting as there is only 1 person behind the bar making the drinks for all the hotel and them waiters can't remember who ordered what. Pure chaos and not enough seating so people naturally spill out in to the comfy seating areas in reception where there is another bar but they refuse to open it and then reception staff son't like the mess/noise it creates from guests sitting there so about 10.30 they turn off the TV's and lights on you.
There is no entertainment at night you either have to go out to pubs nearby or fight for a seat and dehydrate while you wait for a drink. By this i mean NOne not even any music playing in the background.
This hotel is very nicely decorated and so are the rooms but after you check in and begin holiday the cracks quickly appear.
The day time entertainment is poor and repetative the same thing repaeated from the morning in the afternoon everyday, no variation.
The hotel clealry does not understand the concept of All Inclusive and the staff who work there year after year don't seem to like it either as it is an effort for them to serve you and then stand talking about you when you've gone. something we witnessed many times. However i do have to say that the younger workers that they employ from other countries for the season were really nice and worked hard and deserved the tips they recieved.
Crete is a lovely place and this was not our first visit here and it won't be our last However we shall never stay in this hotel again. We always stay in 4* but will stick to other better known names you get what you pay for but i really can't say the same for Sentido and won't book this brand again either.
In short book Crete it's a very nice friendly family resort but don't waste your money in this hotel.

Great Holiday. However, beware of the following errors/omissions in the brochure description.
There is an annexe with no lift - they tried to put me on there even th
ough I had booked the holiday 11 months previously. The bus stop is 250 metres from hotel not 20 as in brochure. Beach/pool towels provided - nice if we knew in advance as it would have saved a few kilos in luggage weight. Brochure claims freguent evening entertainment - there was none.
In spite of these niggles, the holiday was fab. great hotel, great staff and good selection of food. I would readily recommend this hotel to anyone going to Stallis.

We stayed at the Sentido Anhousa in August 2010 and overall enjoyed the holiday and resort.
Location - The hotel has a great location right on the beach with a selec
tion of watersports and step out the front door and you are on the middle of Stalis with a wide selection of bars and restaurants.
Hotel Rooms - We had 3 in our room and it was fine. Very modern with flat screen TVs etc and was kept very clean.
Hotel Facilities - We never used the Spa but looked very good. I think a bit expensive to use the gym. Infinity Pool area is great to relax with a cocktail from the beach bar. Kids pool is large as well and is right next to the snack bar. No problems with getting sunbeds as there are plenty around.
Restaurant - A very good selection of food and not too packed out. You have the option of using the Al la Carte once in your stay...if you do go starve yourself for the day as the portions are large! Very good food though.
Bars - No problems getting drinks at busy times. Could do with more seating outside.
Staff - Very friendly
Overall, if you are looking for a relaxing holiday with good surroundings then I dont think you can go wrong with this hotel/resort.

We arrived at the Anthoussa Spa Hotel, all hot and sweaty, and were greeted at reception with cooling towels and a glass of Champaigne. Booking in was second to none
, as we were given a warm smile and the paper work was kept to a minimum.
The room was immaculate, roomy with a great view of the swimming pool and ocean.
The dressing robe, slippers and jacucci were the icing on the cake.
The meals would suit everyone, as they were so varied, and the waitering staff always had the time to talk, and they were at your elbow in the morning with a smile and a hot coffee.
There was no shortage of sunning areas, as you had a choice of two large Pools, a beach area and a elavated decking area, which I thought was architectully clever.
We didnt have to dress for lunch, as there was a large Buffet area around the second pool. 10/10.

my partner and i are in our 20's and was looking for a holday that was relaxing and not too hectic but was close enough to local amenities and enough to do if we wan
ted to leave the resort.
the Sentido Anthoussa was in a great location it is in a lovely town which had a great choice of bars, restaraunts and shops, there was something for everyone.
the hotel itself was fantastic. the staff were friendly and always willing to help. we had a twin room which was lovely clean and spacious.
there was never a fight for sun loungers as there were plenty to go around and it was lovely to sit at the pool looking out to the beach and sea.
for us he holiday was primarily for relaxing so we were pleased that we wernt too close to the larger resort of malia and there wasnt any rowdyness in the hotel.
as it was all inclusive we were very pleased with the food and variety that was offered so we rarely eat out.
there was a great choice of drink available, and during the hotter parts of the day the bar staff would walk around withcold soft drinks and fruit which was very helpful.
overall i have nothing at all bad to say about this hotel. this was definately the best holiday i have had and will go back in 2010 1
