great location, weather and hotel:) I haven't got a bad thing to say about the hotel, the staff spoke good English and were friendly, and our apartment was as expected, very clean, nothing falling off, modern. We went self catering, everything we needed was there, pots pans cutlery toaster, kettle, microwave.2 rings, iron & ironing board hairdryer. The facilities in the hotel are excellent, spa, jacuzzi, shop, laundrette, free internet in apartments, games room, a pleasant looking bar with nightly entertainment, . Close to the beach, coastline bus routes to Torremolinos and Fuengirola, restaurants, shops, supermarkets etc. We only at once at this hotel, it was at the snack bar, I ordered barbecue ribs with chips, he had burger & chips, it was quite tasty but it was a little greasy for me and the ribs were more like a fatty pork chop, his burger did look better though. I can't say for the restaurant, but there are plenty of restaurants around Benalmadena & we wanted to try them out anyway. We went in December so the hotel wasn't that busy during the week, but it felt like it gave us a chance to explore the hotel and relax, better than the busy summer period for us. Thought it was value for money and would stay there again, in the off peak season. It's situated on a bit of a hill, which I knew about before I booked, it's not that bad, I'm of average health, but it does race the heart beat a little, but if you can't handle it or feeling lazy, just head towards the red pathway towards the car park entrance and ring the buzzer:-) The apartments have heating which I must admit I did appreciate it, as a couple of nights were a little fresh, and the tv in the room has a few British channels, we brought our usb memory stick loaded with films, which we watched through the telly occasionally in the evenings. Not one complaint. December 23, 2013
Excellent time, going back next March. My grown up daughter and I booked a last minute holiday to go away for my birthday. We had no knowledge of the area and went for the cheapest option. We had a fantastic time. The room was clean and the maid came and made the beds everyday and cleaned two or three times during the week. The bedding and equipment were nowhere near new but clean and usable. We had a problem with the patio door that was sorted within an hour of reporting it. The reception staff were friendly and happy to help. The room had a tv and free wifi. There was some type of entertainment every night and it looked like kids had something lined up every morning afternoon and evening. The rep was very nice and helpful. We went self catering. The equipment was basic but we couldn't believe the amount of choice for eating out. There were 20 to 30 cafe/restaurants within a ten minute walk. We ate out everyday for less than ten euros each main course. Usually around 8 euros each. There were more expensive places to eat but we went for a last minute cheap holiday and the food was excellent. Full breakfast was five euros in most of the cafes nearby. We used the indoor swimming pool steam room and jacuzzi every day which were all free. There was also a small gym with a few pieces of equipment. We also took part in the water aerobics which was also free. There were two cheap supermarkets nearby for the bits of food and drink we bought. We loved it there so much we are going again next March. October 12, 2012
Ok for a nice base. Clean and of a good standard. Location no good for people with pushchairs or wheelchairs, as the hotel is situated at the top of a Not bad for somewhere to stay, especially if you don't really want to venture anywhere else. There's everything there if you need it. Nothing wrong with the hotel or staff, but found it wasn't the kind of place myself and husband wanted. To much like another typical Spanish holiday. We like to get out and about but the location of the hotel wasn't for us. Men have to wear trousers in the restaurant, but we weren't told this at he time of booking, so one were packed, so needless to say we didn't eat in. October 11, 2012
Great family hotel We stayed here in August, self catering. The hotel is lovely & clean. The staff are so friendly, nothing is too much trouble. There is lots to do round the area & plenty of buses & the hotel has a free mini bus service to the beach & Paloma park. The only downside was the fact that lilos, watershooters & balls werent allowed in the pool! We paid for buffet breakfast in the mornings 12 euros each & kids eat free which was great because the food was lovely. The evening entertainment was a bit hit & miss unless you had really young kids who went to the mini disco. I would love to go back to this hotel in the future!! September 25, 2012
Excellent hotel - if you dont mind the hill We had a family holiday in this hotel. A spotless clean hotel with excellent main restaurant food - plenty of variety and excellent quality. We enjoyed excellent breakfasts and evening dinners and pleasantly helpful staff. All staff in hotel very pleasant. Childrens entertainments etc. excellent. Good pool area with excellent flooring and plenty of sun loungers. Only 2 negative points: (1) The air conditioning did not do the job in the main bar/entertainment lounge in the evenings and it was uncomfortably warm with so many people in one area. We also felt the pa system was set too high. (2) The entrance to the hotel is unfortunately up an extremely steep hill so be prepared to use taxis on return to the hotel. Otherwise a great family hotel. July 30, 2012
Benalmadena Birthday Celebrations This holiday with my family was specifically to celebrate the birthdays of my Dad and young Nephew and we had an enjoyable week break without it being exceptional. The weather let us down a little but it was still warmer than the UK so no huge complaints there. Hotel was excellent but alas it was on top of a steep hill which became a bit of a nuisance towards the end of our stay. The only issue we had with it was on the day we checked out. Our thomas cook rep and the thomas cook manual assured us that it was a 12 noon check out but at five minutes past 10 am, we had reception ringing our rooms to tell us we should have been out by 10. So a disappointing end to a decent holiday. May 25, 2009
