Amazing holiday !!
We had a great holiday!! There was always food and drink available! The food was lovely especially the Italian restaurant! Delicious!! The pool was lovely and the weather was fantastic! There are some really nice sports bars, bars and restaurants, in particular Route 66! There was also a bar/restaurant called la pergola that is a 5 min walk from hotel which looked onto the sea (amazing view!!) there is a nice 15min walk to a black sand beach which is idyllic! I would 100% go back, didn't want to leave! And if you do go then visit Siam park (water park) !! There is also a sports bar called legends which is a short walk from the beach! Our favourite bar, friendly staff and good prices!

We stayed here for two weeks in Jan/Feb 2014 on an all-inclusive basis. Had read a lot of reviews on TripAdvisor and decided that it couldn’t be as bad as some people make it out to be.
It is! The foyer and the Public Areas in general are very clean and tidy and well maintained. Our room, however, was in very tired condition and really wanted complete refurbishment. Just too many problems to list. Maintenance man visited us three times to cure problems such as faulty switches/sockets, unable to open the outer door without kicking it, shutters broken and wouldn’t close. His final visit was to look at water coming into our room from the room above. It would appear they had used their shower tray as a receptacle for washing clothes and had left them soaking. Unfortunately for us the seal on the shower tray leaked all the water out when they left the room! Sounds seem to carry a long way thought the superstructure, we could hear voices and furniture being moved during the night quite frequently. Our room had a small TV, the only English channel appeared to be BBC Word News. However if you like to watch football there are some sports bars around the back of the hotel which show lots of UK football live. Also in in this area are a couple of very nice inexpensive restaurants and a supermarket.
Negative comments about the quality of the food and drink are all valid. The Italian we tried twice, poor quality, poor selection and cold. Avoid the Grill bar at all costs. If you like hot dogs or beefburgers that have been standing for hours and like bread that has been in the sun this is the place for you. In theory you can have chicken or kebabs. In practice the cook wanders off to do his own thing most of the time and there is no one to serve you. This is when the pigeons move in for their meal. Any food, if it be on the counter, on your table or in a rubbish bin is fair game to them. I counted 15 helping themselves at one time. Every surface is covered in Pigeon Poo, make sure you have something on your feet.
Drinks are only available in 0.2l plastic cups, apart from lunchtime when the restaurant has glasses. I suspect the only natural ingredient in the fruit juices is water. They all taste awful. There is nowhere to sit and have a quiet drink in the evening - a first for any hotel I have ever stayed in. The only evening bar is in the entertainment area when they have a Kids Disc, Bingo and various acts. We found the entertainment to be very poor, however two bars outside the hotel around the back were our salvation, some of the bands in Route 66 were very good.
To cap it all on our last day we found a cockroach in our room, and having arrived back in the UK my wife is now in agony with Sickness and Diarrhoea which seems to be a frequent complaint on here.
All in all we are not impressed and will not be returning.

Great Holiday in Puerto Santiago
Hotel location good ( however steep hills all around)
Hotel very clean, staff friendly and helpful.
Area has some very good restaurant. The pagoda has great location, good food and well made cocktails (menu is limited but food great).
Best venue for live music must be Route 66 Rock and Roll all night (drinks a little expensive).

alright holiday in Puerto Santiago
The location was nice lots of sight seeing, the food wasn't good not enough choice same old chips pasta cheese, some of the staff were rude. The entertainment was really good in the evening but the down fall was no entertainment in the day just music, I wouldn't like to go again.

Would only recommend this hotel if you pay absolute rock bottom price!!!
Lovely area but very hilly for those of you with walking difficulties. As for the hotel, I honestly dont believe I got what I paid for. Paid £1000 for 2 of us All Inclusive....only ever ate breakfast in the hotel and even that was below average. The rooms were full of little tiny mites crawling on hard services (vanity unit in bathroom and worktop in kitchen). sealant around bath was filthy, flush button on toilet was loose and moved around, hardly any water came out of the shower along with the fact that the shower head was loose and would not stay upright.
The pools look fabulous from a distance but close up, they are not well maintained whatsoever....the pool walls were black! Disgusting! What a shame because they could be so nice!
2 Drinks at a time throughout the day and at night, not so much a problem in the day but massive ques at night!
If you get a room next to one of the lifts like we did...request to move...it was all we ever heard, including being woken up by it during the night and in the morning!
The staff were ok I guess...polite enough.
Would not recommend and would not return!

Very poor hotel
Just returned from a week at this hotel which was very poor indeed. I travelled with my mum and sister and on arrival we were given a room overlooking the 'noisy' pool which was over run with screaming children and very loud music from 10am until 6pm. Although we booked all inclusive we were expecting a kitchenette but the room only had a fridge. After much negotiation with reception we were moved to a room with a kitchenette (so we could at least make a cuppa) and the pool overlooked the 'quieter' pool. The room was clean but basic, however the maid service daily was excellent. People were up at the crack of dawn saving sunbeds and there were only a few parasols. The food at the hotel was very poor indeed, very little choice and very poor quality. I have done all inclusive before and this was the worst food I have ever seen - everyone we talked to complained about the food (I have read some of the other reviews and cannot believe some people are saying the food is good - please listen to the ones who talk about soggy pasta, tinned vegetables, unrecognisable grey fish and fatty meat). Salads were good though. The BBQ shack was self serve burgers, hotdogs and chips - problem was the amount of pigeons walking over and pecking the food containers and guests helping themselves using the same tongs for cooked and uncooked food, so didnt risk eating any of this. We did eat breakfast and lunch at the hotel but paid to eat out every night. Drinks during the day are limited to two per person per order and were served in small plastic glasses, which is a real pain. Entertainment geared very much to kids. Groups of very drunken people were commonplace- the only entertainment was watching them! We saw security being called on several occasions to deal with roudy, badly behaved people. People drinking vodka at 10am and falling over by lunch time! Wifi was "broken" for the whole week we were there, the book in restaurant was closed, our sofa broke and was never changed, we had two cups in the room and despite many requests for a third it never materialised and one of us had to drink out of a bowl. The staff were very rude and didnt respond to any complaint or request - I would never go here again, the worst holiday I have ever had!!!!! This might suit people who dont mind being around lots of loud kids, lots of drunken people and dont mind eating very basic food. The positives are few - our Thomas Cook rep was a nice chap and none of the problems at the hotel were the fault of Thomas Cook, the rooms and grounds are clean.

Good value for money! :)
We arrived in Tenerife on 9th September for 2 weeks. We think the holiday as a whole was good value for money and would definatley recommend to a friend.
However, there were a few things that would need improvement to have made it an amazing holiday;
We were all inclusive and drinks were served all day and night in small plastic cups, and you could only order 2 drinks per person at once. Towards the end of the holiday (maybe because it was the end of the busy season) glasses were given out after 8pm.
A couple of the bar staff cared more about serving the drinks quickly than customer service and could be quite snappy at times.
Watch out at the weekend as the locals flood in and they are roudy and rude, and they think the hotel should revolve around them.
Some reviews have said that there weren't enough sun loungers, however, we had no problem with this, always had a bed. But, there were definatley not enough sun parasols. People do get up at about 7:30am to save beds and parasols and they are all gone by 8am.
The only other problem (if you are lucky enough to get a room with Air Con) is that the Air Con units are connected to other rooms, so if someone is smoking and eating a kebab at 4am, you are going to smell it!
We did really enjoy the food. It wasn't Michelin star but you don't pay for Michelin star. There could have been more choice, but over the two weeks, we rarely had the same thing twice. The location is lovely, quiet with a few British bars, supermarkets and restaurants within a few minutes walk.
I think others have been far too brutal with their reviews. We went on holiday to get away from Britain and to have a holiday, we got this, and more!
