Rated 5 out of 5 by sm59 Another great break at Sando San Blas Hotel
This is the 3rd time my wife and I have stayed at this hotel and we'll be back again. From the moment you walk into the hotel you know you're somewhere special.
LOCATION
The hotel is literally 10 mins from the airport, in the area referred to as The Golf del Sur. So, if transfers are not included, I would recommend a taxi as a quick and cheap option to get you there. There is a shingle/stone beach area just outside the hotel which you can use if you want (we never bothered). The hotel is located between 2 villages Los Abrigos and San Blas which you can easily walk to and have a look round (shops, pubs and restaurants).
ROOMS
The rooms are spacious and have everything you need. We did notice this time that some things are becoming a bit tired (just through normal wear and tear), however, if the Hotel tackles these then it will remain one of the best hotels in Tenerife. The beds are huge and very comfortable and you have free use of a room safe.
STAFF
We have always found the staff to be very courteous and helpful. Our room was always spotless and all the staff love kids and have time to chat with them.
FOOD
The buffet selection at all times is extremely good, the only problem is deciding what to eat as there’s such a good choice. There’s plenty of healthy option, grilled fish, chicken and lean meats, vegetables and fruit. The pudding selection and ice cream is also worth a mention. Where else on holiday can you have salmon gravlax and cava for breakfast? If you’re not careful, you’ll end up piling on the weight.
DRINK
Plenty of choice and I was pleasantly surprised at how good the ‘local alcohol’ tasted. I’ve never had a problem at the hotel and if you do want to order something unusual (Black Russian which isn’t on the cocktail menu) just ask for the components separately (vodka and coke and a shot of coffee liquor and hey presto you have one). The wine is also very enjoyable and the Cava is a good quality. You can also ask for a ‘drink to go’ and the staff are happy to put it into a plastic glass for you so you can take it back to your room and sit outside on your terrace and watch the world go by.
ACTIVITIES
If you want to be active, there’s plenty of choice offered by the hotel (football, climbing, diving, keep fit, gym, 8 swimming pools, kayaks, the list goes on). If you want to just relax, read a book and/or worship the sun, then there’s ample space, sun beds and location round the many pools to choose from. The hotel also offer a free bus service to the main town where you will find plenty or shops, places to eat and a lovely beach. The bus leaves at 10am and arrives back at 5pm in plenty of time for pre-dinner drinks!!! There’s also a kids club and evening entertainment to tire the little ones out before bedtime.
ENTERTAINMENT
There’s always something on in the evenings and it’s located next to the restaurant, so when your meals finished, step outside, have a drink and enjoy the evening. We always ventured up to the Lobby Bar later, for a night cap and a relaxing seat outside.
All in all, we will be back and can’t recommend the hotel highly enough.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Five0 Top class hotel in the south of Tenerife
An excellent hotel well laid out ensuring a feeling of space even when full. The variety of food and drink available was impressive. The staff were friendly, polite and attentive. The island history experience and nature trail availabe in the hotel and grounds is a must - informative and an interesting.
The only drawback for some would be the aircraft noise particularly when the planes are taking off in a westerly direction.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Robbo32 San blas 5star??
Just returned (yesterday),from a week's holiday first things first this is by no way a 5 star experience ,the hotel and rooms are first class but are seriously let down by the dining and drinking options, broccoli for brekfast??,scrambled egg on the first day was beaut but every day after that was a pile of soggy mush, with a distinct powdery taste,no snacks served between meals,I mean at lunch I fancied something light like a sandwich or a toastie, but they weren't available, plenty of grilled chicken, turkey, fish ect,it seemed I was eating the same food at lunch as I was later in the evening,my partner and I spent the last 3 days paying 20 euro each way in taxis to travel to las Americas for better food, cocktails, and generally a bit of atmosphere ,,and the biggest let down was the plastic cups drinks were served in at the 2 poolside bars, maybe we didnt take full advantage of our holiday there but we just didnt feel the vibe i dont know why it was , i kinda got stircrazy after a couple of days ,probably due to it being too remote overall is a nice hotel wouldn't recommend, unless you can eat average food, lye by a pool all day and drink cocktails from plastic cups

Rated 5 out of 5 by mightyjoe Relaxing and restful Tenerife
Sandos Sans Blas Hotel is a truly fantastic all inclusive destination where you experience true "UK style" ratings when it comes to the accommodation and service of this hotel. The ambience of the hotel was relaxed, the staff were polite, and efficient and the food was superb, both in terms of choice and quality. It never felt crowded - possibly due to the number of poolside areas available ( including adult only pools) and it was a great first time experience. I met with two other couples who had returned to this hotel on more than one occasion, and I certainly will stay here when returning to Tenerife. The location is not near the busy areas of Tenerife ( though the hotel offer a free bus service once a day if you want to visit the bigger resorts) though there is a small village less than 10 minutes walk away(Los Abrigos) if you want to take a stroll, and they have some respected fish restaurants there. The residential area of Sandos is not far to walk to either ( 10 mins) and offers small shops, bars and restaurants, again if you fancy a stroll out of the complex. I enjoy all inclusive breaks, but this one beat them all so far.
