Perfect package holiday
We stayed here for the second year in a row after our kids (15 & 10) enjoyed it so much the first time. They say if the kids are happy on holiday, the adults automatically have a good time and while this is true, we were certainly happy enough without any influence from the kids!
The hotel is very clean (a lot cleaner than some 5* hotels I've stayed in), the staff are always polite and friendly, and the one problem we had (with a fridge freezer) was fixed within 15 minutes of me reporting it to reception. There is a mini-supermarket on site which isn't as cheap as local shops, but not too pricey. Incidentally, pretty much everywhere around here (apart from the hotels) is selling the local beer at 1E /pint.
The pool is great, the location is great (a short walk from the beach) and the 2 local water parks - Aqualand and Siam Park - are a very short (free) bus ride away. Even though the hotel is only a 20 minute ride from the airport, you won't even hear jets coming and going.
What made this hotel better than the others for us though, was the showteam. They are totally committed to entertaining people, put on a selection of themed shows (ABBA, rock night, songs from the movies, eurovision etc..) and are quite simply very enjoyable. By the end of the show everyone is singing along and clapping and having a great time. Afterwards they come outside for some fresh air and hugs/photo's with the kids. I can't recommend them enough.
There are a great range of activities through the day for the kids such as After Beach club, water polo and kids club in the dedicated activity room. There is also hotel-wide wifi for a fee, but as there are so many local bars offering free WiFi, I didn't use this.
All in all a great holiday. We plan to go again. If you have kids then you won't be disappointed.

Great holiday at the Sunwing Resort
Just returned from Tenerife where myself and my daughter stayed at the Sunwing Resort Fanabe in Costa Adeje. It was the first time we had been to Tenerife before but it won't be the last. I loved it and my 20 year old daughter did too. The hotel was great, a really good family hotel (if you don't like children don't go) I don't mind children, it was lovely to see all ages playing in the pool and the entertainment team were fantastic with so much energy. The things done for children were brilliant, I wished that I had taken my grandchildren as I know they would have loved it. The little extras like putting shades over play areas to stop the kiddies getting burnt and the staff were full of fun towards everyone. The reception staff were really helpful. We went self catering as we're fussy eaters and our apartment was large with 2 big single beds with TV in room and a kitchen/living area connected by a sliding door. Cooking facilities were a bit limited only 2 cooking rings and a microwave, a fridge / freezer, loads of pots, pans implements etc. I hired a toaster for 6euros which I thought was a bit strange. There is a safe in the room which was a further charge of 15 euros but I thought better safe than sorry. :-) The Thomas Cook rep Keilly was really friendly and helped out with a query we had about meals on the plane. It is a short transfer from the airport only 15-20 mins.
There are loads of trips out to do, we went to Loro Parque (a bit like Sea World in Florida) and to Siam Park water park. Both were really good days out but book them before you go it's much cheaper. There is a free bus to Siam Park every half hour from various points in the area. Tip they don't like you to take in food and drink and they look into any bags you have at Siam Park but only at the top they don't move anything so put it at the bottom as drinks etc are very expensive. There are loads of restaurants and shops along the promenade you can get a 3 course meal for about 10 euros.
The only bad thing about our holiday was that we had to come home, would definatley go back, in fact that's why I'm doing this review I saw it when I was trying to book again for later this year.

Adeje is a great resort for all
The sunwing resort is mainly for familys, thousands of kids.the noise round the pool is like passing a junior school at playtime. There is however on floor 4. 2 roof top sunbathing areas, theese areas are quiet most of the time.We had room 402 this had sun in the afternoon and looked down on Fanabe shops and Martni restaurant ( the best place to dine) Plenty of places to eat and drink close by and beer still 1euro a pint on Fanabe front p.s. we was quoted £60 transfer from airport to resort a taxi is only 25 euro each way

Perfect spot in Tenerife
Returned from Sunwing resort on 11 June 2013. My husband and I spent 11 idyllic days here. We cannot fault the cleanliness of the apartment and its public areas insofar as we used them. We spent our days on one of the two Sun Terraces on the top floor. This was a quiet area which for us was perfect as a couple travelling without children. The pool area was were all the action happened and we could hear the children having a great time down at the pool below. Lots of sunloungers available - no need to get up at the crack of dawn to put your towel down! Ideal spot for short easy walk to the beach and to the local shops, restaurants and bars. We have stayed in Tenerife three times previously but this property is certainly the best we've stayed in. We can't wait to get back!!

unbelievable value for money
we booked this holiday as a cheap last minute deal and it turned out to be a briiliant holiday ... tenerife was the right place to stay and being 5minutes from main strip in a taxi but away enough to be able to relax. this holiday should be recommended as it was brilliant and the hotel ans service was outstanding. iv travelled to many 5 star hotels but this was by far the most fun.

Happy baby rooms are amazing
We had a fantastic family holiday in Tenerife staying at Sunwing Fanabe hotel. We booked the happy baby room as we have a 7mth old and 3 yr old. Room has absolutely everything you need for two small children. Plastic plates, cups & cutlery for older children. Potty, bumbo seat, high chair, baby rocker chair, travel cot with bedding, fantastic buggy and easy access to pool area via strong safety gate. Baby rooms are cleaned daily. On-site shop has nappies, baby food and local brand formula milk.
The children's entertainment was second to none and all staff were fantastic.
Food was amazing and very reasonable (kids under 11yrs eat free when accompanied by paying adult - this only applies to non all-inclusive). Menu changed daily and a wide selection of food was always on offer.
The pool area was very clean and safe and catered for all ages. Aquarobics was a great laugh!
I could go on singing the praises of this hotel, its staff and the facilities but don't want to become a bore. Safe to say we will be back!
